My room had a lovely view over the fields, just below my bedroom window free range chickens & Vietnamese pigs were in a large enclosure. Although I had arrived on foot (on a four day walk) I walked down to the pretty town of Hebden Bridge for my evening meal and a drink. I got a taxi back as it...

I stayed here last night whilst on business in Hebdon Bridge. The room was very clean and a good size. Lovely touches in the bathroom of toothbrushes, razors, shaving foam, deodorant etc. I took part in the curry evening for dinner which was delicious. A curry and a pint of the local ale for only £7...bargain. The company was lovely,...

Stopped by for lunch on Saturday around 2.00pm and ordered soup and a main meal. The soup was delicious, cream cheese and watercress and had a small amount of cream drizzled on top, top quality homemade soup! The mains was pie, creamed mash and fresh mixed veg. The pie apparently is made in house by the 'piemiester' and has to...

Up out of Hebden Bridge, the pub has commanding views across the area. Pigs and chickens rootle around in the field next to the pub - we learnt that there's no such thing as a micro pig and that New Zealand kunekune pigs eat grass! The evening meal was tasty and the breakfast excellent. There's a good range of beers,...

We are really sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay at The Hare and Hounds As to the size of the rooms, we are limited by the building, our accommodation area is within the original barn which dates back to the 1700's You are correct our bathrooms are dated, but all rooms are being refurbished this winter. As to the...

A wonderful hideaway in the wilds of West Yorkshire. A warm welcome, good food and beer. Ideal for a meal on a drive or as a resting place whilst walking in the hills. We didn't stay overnight but the bar area is full of interest.

Everything you would want from a country inn in a fantastic location. Lots of info in the other reviews so to summarise, great food, good company, helpful (and funny) landlord/landlady team, well kept beer, quiet room, all with a great view over Hebden Bridge and Heptonstall. Wouldn't think of booking anywhere else for our next visit.

We spent a night at the Hare and Hounds and had a great time. Great bar, very convivial staff, great food and a comfortable nights sleep - all for a very reasonable cost. Having breakfast outside watching the amusing antics of the pet pigs and chickens was a bonus. Although the room wasn't huge it had all we needed and...

We spent one night at the Hare and Hounds, and also ate at their restaurant (see separate review). The pub enjoys a grand location in the 'Old Town', high above Hebden Bridge with spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. It has an adjoining 'barnyard' featuring a brood of chickens and a couple of pet pigs that showed plenty of personality...

Stayed at this lovely homely B&B when we were going to a friends wedding at Hebden Bridge. Our room was small, but had everything you wanted, was very clean and had amazing views over the valley. The breakfast was lovely and had an added advantage of being available until 12 when we stayed. The friendly owners made this a very...
