We searched for a hotel that was located fairly close to Cinque Terre and was not over 100 euros per night. The cheapest hotel was this one, 25 km away (45 min drive), which was still not too far for us. The hotel was okay, nothing special but could be improved on some things. Positive: - big private parking - the hotel has a cafe and a tobacco store - it's on the top of the hill so you have the view of the sea - nice owner, that speaks good English Things to be improved: - beds were not comfortable, the mattresses are too soft - basic room with small tv - poor breakfast, just some toast, cereal, jam - a bit expensive for such an average hotel - seemingly they have a restaurant as well, but for some reason it was closed(we hoped to have dinner there, thankfully there was a pizzeria nearby that was open I wouldn't really say this is a bad hotel, but it wasn't worth 77 euros per night either(we were here in April)…
Out of the way and set in the hill, we could step out and see the ocean. Easy ride to the train to the busier Cinque Terre. I was happy with the experience of staying here. The church next door does ring the bell on Sunday morning very loud and early. Late sleepers beware.
A little of the beaten track but the patron gave us 2 free beers Scrupulously Clean and tidy and well priced staff are exceedingly helpful and nothing is too much trouble former them despite the language barrier even printing out useful routes Would certainly stay again
Very beautiful location, with a sea-view literally 1 minute walk from the hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and provided us very good advice for hiking, food and everything else we needed. Rooms are very basic, but clean.
This is more like a hostel than a hotel actually, but it is a very tidy one. It is located almost on the top of the cliff that is Framura. So it's definitely a walk from the train station. Even though you have a little bus that goes up and down the hill most of the day, i would recommend going by car so you can be more free to go as you like. The front of the place is actually a bar, which may sound - and look - strange at first but there's a door that opens to a corridor and the rooms in the back. You don't hear any sounds from the bar at all. The rooms are clean and tidy. There's also a very good restaurant downstairs, but it closes early, like all things in Framura, of course. The highlight goes to David, who's the manager/owner (i don't know) who's a very friendly and helpful guy. All the other staff are really helpful too, so there's no language barrier. The real only downside that I found is that it's really close to a church and I couldn't make sense of the logic of which times its bells rang, they just do all the time. It can be really annoying in the morning if you're in the mood of sleeping in. Framura is a good choice if you want to visit Cinque Terre without being in a touristic place that has lost most of its charm with crowded streets. You can get there by train, it's very close. You can also take a fantastic bike ride through old train tunnels to Levanto, which is a neat little city with lots of local food and characters, busier than Framura.…
