This guest house is beyond perfect. Lilia makes you feel like youre visiting a friend. She has thought through every little detail in the rooms and the whole house. The interior is a combination of rustic and modern with good taste. All egguipment in the kitchen are clean and working - and you’ll find everything you need. You’ll even find beach towels in the cabinet of the bath room. Location is also great, because you have your own peace on the hills with a beautiful view and lush green surroundings, yet a short drive to the places you need to visit in the area. Lilia makes great food, and i recommend it since food in most italian restaurants is average and tasteless. It’s true, that the best italian food is served either by a mamma at someones home or outside Italy. I will always remember this stay as one of the best i’ve experienced. If you choose this place, you won’t be dissapointed. Thank you Lilia 💕…
We have just left this wonderful little gem with countryside views to die for. The hostess treats all visitors like family and cannot do enough to make your say as enjoyable as possible...including turning out late at night to collect us from our wrong station 30 mins away after we missed our train! The welcome was like visiting family and the apartment had everything you could possibly want inside and out. We were even given a lovely Italian meal on arrival after our long day. There are many wonderful places to stay in Italy and indeed worldwide but having such a lovely host is what makes Il Laghello stand out from the rest! We look forward to returning soon. Thank you.
Il Laghello Di Amina is located in the hills back from the coast but below the Autostrada in a quiet agritourismo country setting with easy road access north and south and down to the coastal railway for access to the Cinque Terre. A perfect location for exploring the coastal Liguria region from Genoa down to Sarzana We stayed 8 nights and could easily have stayed longer. Parking and internet were not a problem. The short semi private access road has some steep tight curves that are best negotiated in daylight the first time. Typical trip times we experienced from Il Laghello Di Amina were: • 14 mins drive to down Deiva Marina coastal railway station to access the Cinque Terre a couple of stops down the line or on all the way through to La Spezia • 45 mins by road north to Santa Margherita • 45 mins by road south to Sarzana - • 1hour 12mins south to Lucca The Cinque Terre was still very crowded in August so we spent more time exploring up and down the Coast and the villages in the hills behind. We had previously visited the Cinque Terre in the very quiet month of December and enjoyed the freedom but was a bit chilly The Il Laghello Di Amina owners, Lilia and her husband Guido, who live on the property provide fantastic support and are extremely helpful with local knowledge if required. Nothing is too much trouble them. Everything works and is spotlessly clean. In our travels and quest for accommodation away from bland hotels we have found that the attention the owner gives to the property makes a huge difference to the comfort and enjoyment of our stay. Lilia and Guido were the perfect hosts making it sad to leave. Make sure you try the property's products.. especially the honey. We would thoroughly recommend il Laghello di Amina as a beautiful country place to stay and will definitely return …
Location: top of the top, panoramic view of the Tirreno sea and of the mountains, very quiet and away from mainstream roads - Apartment was both modern and rustic, with a clever blend; nicely furnished as well. The owners' hospitality is above and beyond. They provide you with anything you need and welcome you as if you are one of their own. Best place to stay to enjoy Cinque Terre. I suggest you try the honey produced on site as it is great.
It was a great stay. Key reasons were: our host, the apartment and the location. First of all, and it's the most important part of the story - the extreme hospitality of Lilia, our host. It wasn't possible to do more than she did for us. When we arrived she welcomed us with a fresh-made caprese salad and some food for the next morning breakfast. We had a tasty home dinner almost every day at the very attractive cost (and she's also the great cook). Home marmalades. Honey. Zucchini. Cucumbers. Everything was like we went for vacations to the grandma. The apartment was equipped well, everything was of a good quality. Located within 10 minutes from the sea, it stays far from the road and from the noise. In the night you can hear only birds and frogs. Sometimes wild boars. Clean and tasty tap water which comes from the mountain springs. Enough parking space for all guests. And finally the sea. The public beach of Framura is fantastic. The water there is probably the cleanest one within 100 km of the seashore. With the basic snorkeling equipment, we found one octopus and a number of the sea stars. It was a great swimming and snorkeling experience. If you dive, there is also a diving center in Framura.…
