We stayed in a cottage for three nights. The cottage itself was comfortable, clean and felt very private. Each one has a huge glass sliding door that looks out over the sea below--a beautiful way to wake up. The grounds are a bit difficult to get around due to the steep and rocky paths. You are really on the side of a hill here, so you have to stick close to the established areas around the cottages, the reception and the pool. The location is not very convenient, but the free shuttle service to the nearest train station is very helpful. The restaurant is good, but it's the only option close by. Excellent breakfast--loved the coffee We found the staff to be friendly and professional.
We spent 7 nights in august as a family of 4. We stayed in a Cottage with the best view just below the restaurant. Clearly the highlight is the view. On the positive side, the staff is friendly and try to help whenever possible. We found they could have add more servers as people were queuing for Breakfast for example. The shuttle service to go the the train station is a must. The access to the train is great to visit Cinque Terre. The room themselves are nice, with no TV (which is great!), air conditioned but rather on the small side when you are 4. The hotel is quiet and you have your private space. The pool area is nice and quick busy even if the hotel is not big. The restaurant, we ate there most of the nights. The food is fine, good but nothing surprising. Cocktails are expensive. The restaurant is closed on Monday and for lunches which is not great when you do not have much options nearby. The bar is only open fin the evening so you can get drinks during the day. We would expect such hotel to offer more options. They do offer some light lunch by the pool but it is more a snack than a lunch. Overall, we found it very expensive for the value delivered. I also found that the place lacked character. I don't think we would go back for this price.…
The stylish cabins and tents offer a stunning view over the sea at a tranquile place. That said the service quality of this luxury resort is extremely disappointing. There is a clear lack of leadership from an management perspective a guest has to tolerate at every single interaction with the personnel. For a hotel of this price category this is inappropriate. In addition, the restaurant should be avoided given the overprized cuisine and again the lack of service quality. Better options can be found nearby.
What a view. Accommodation is eco friendly and yet of the highest standards. it offers privacy and tranquility. Aperitif and dinner in the restaurants are generous and delicious and all tables look out on to the ocean. We ate here every night. The staff in the restaurant were especially welcoming. We will be back and recommend to all. Dog friendly.
