Our second stay here. Truly is a home away from home. John and Toos and Julias (only 1 of their 3 boys home) are the best hosts, beautiful place full of warmth and character, comfortable bed, delicious meals and great company. Can't recommend Hiamoe B & B highly enough. Will be back!

My husband and I stayed for one night on the farm on February 7th this year. We had no idea what to expect but we were not disappointed by that experience. The whole family was very welcoming and we were happy to discover the family's farm with John. The views on their lands are just breathtaking! We also enjoyed the...

Thankyou for your positive comments about Hiamoe Farmstay on Trip Advisor. Yes I do remember telling you I would let you know the weight of the steer and I hope you have not been awake all night ever since, wondering what the weight would be ! I am afraid we have not weighed him again since you were here, as...

My husband and I stayed with John, Toos, and sons in mid February. From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we felt at home. It was almost as if we were visiting old friends. We arrived in the late afternoon and spent an hour or so roaming around the farm with John. He welcomed all of our questions and...

When we arrived, Toos and John were at the door ready to welcome us in. Our room was amazing, spacious and fabulous big windows. We were then asked if we'd like to see the farm, of course, so we jumped on the buggy with John and were taken with 2 dogs to move some cattle and learn about how the...

John, Toos and their sons do everything to make you feel at home. Besides that they explained a lot about farming in NZ. And gave us a real insight of what being a farmer in NZ is all about. John gave us a big tour on their beautiful property. The beds where clean and soft and the dinner delicious with...

We received a very warm welcome from Toos & John with a nice aperitive and a very healthy meal. The room and bathroom were clean, confortable and we felt like at home. During the evening, John was kind enough to phone to our travel agency to solve a small problem of transport transfer. And finally a last drink next to...

Even though we only stayed for one night and had never been to Hiamoe Farmstay before, by the end of the stay it felt like we had just been spending a night at an old friends house. We are kiwis from the city so we wanted to see what life on the farm was really like, and John and Toos certainly welcomed us into the family for our weekend.
