Thanks so much for the great review, we so enjoyed meeting you both and look forward to catching up again on the water. Kawau Island is such a magic place and super close to Auckland city, it's a great place for apartment dwellers to get away for peace and quiet from the city noises.

I came here with my partner and my parents for a family holiday. The house is beautiful, with a really well equipped kitchen and many lovely spots to take in the view. There is a really fun/rough track up to a lookout from behind the house and we also walked over to Vivian Bay and got only slightly lost. Kawau...

My wife and I recently stayed at the lodge for two nights, opting to take our own boat over from Sand spit. We were VERY impressed with Kawau lodge - it has everything you could ever want from self contained accommodation. The views are sensational, the kitchen well appointed, easy access and ample space to relax and enjoy the tranquillity...

Stayed here recently for a family celebration? We stayed as accommodation only and self catered. The lodge was very well equipped, and well laid out. Comfortable with great views onto the North Arm of Kawau. The boat jetty is excellent, even at low tide. A great place for a relaxing weekend. It pays to have your own boat although it...

Thank you Syd for your review, as the first group to use Kawau Lodge in its new capacity as a self catering lodge, I am glad you found it enjoyable and the location up to expectations. One advantage of North Cove is that it is very sheltered and ideal for people who have their own boats. So pleased you all enjoyed...

If you want a short winter break this location is an ideal place to go. Serene views, a quiet and serene location to get away to just minutes away from the mainland. Our Hosts provided a lovely warm fire and great home cooked meal as part of the Experience. Would not hesitate to revisit or recommend this B&B

Visiting Kawau Island wasn't our choice (it was a family event), but we're very glad we chose to stay at Kawau Lodge. Dave and Helen are excellent hosts - they provided useful information early on, made us feel welcome, accommodated all the guests' comings and goings, and served delicious meals. The room we stayed in was comfortable and quiet but...

Thanks for taking the time and reviewing Kawau Lodge and glad you did enjoy your stay. The reason why lots of people come to the island is to get away from busy lives, traffic and the hum drum of life but if you are a city person and wanting lots of action, it's not the best place to come.
