We stayed at Lake O'Hara Lodge last summer, and came back for a second time this summer. We will be back as often as possible from now on. The Lodge is located on beautiful Lake O'Hara, just a few minutes west of Lake Louise. We stayed in a lakeside cabin, with a lovely sun deck looking over the lake. The...

We received our two nights at the Lodge as a gift--we would never have booked such expensive accommodations ourselves. By the time we checked out, we were requesting a reservation for next year. Our time at Lake O'Hara was one of the best in our lives. The setting is spectacular and the trails are world class. The Lodge made it...

Bruce and Alison run a really nice lodge with cabins that cater to day hikers. I love to hike, usually with a 40lb pack during week long trips, so this was perfect. But if you don’t LOVE to hike, think twice about sitting on a mosquito infested porch from dawn to dusk. The cabins were nice, but something I’m used...

Very difficult to book here for good reason. Location and hiking is spectacular, if not amongst the very best in the world. Allison and Bruce are the quintessential inn-keepers with obsessive attention to detail, and they make every guest feel special. The "off-the-grid"lodge has small, but comfortable rooms and romantic at the water's edge log cottages. The meals are farm-to-table...

My wife and I had been trying for five years to get an August reservation at Lake O'Hara lodge. We hike often in the Canadian Rockies and Lake O'Hara is a holy grail location for hikers. After being rejected on Jan. 1, we got word in February that we could have a room for three nights in prime mid-August days....

why would I award 5 stars (something I rarely do) to an accommodation where the bedrooms are basic (though very clean) and the bathroom fascillities are shared with other guests? Three reasons: 1) Food and wine are great 2) The staff are universaly friendly without being obsequeous. They always seem prepaired to "go the extra mile" to make your stay...

The accommodation, the staff, and the food were excellent. This is a 'back-country' lodge accessible by a private bus so you can take too much luggage but the atmosphere is very casual as hiking / climbing is our main objective. The dinners were 4 course meals which we enjoyed with a couple of well chosen BC wines. The staff were...

We were on a waiting list for years before a cancellation gave us the opportunity to vacation at Lake O Hara Lodge. It was definitely worth the wait! Bruce and Alison treat you like dear family members providing best food, every comfort possible in the most beautiful place in the world. The cabins on the lake is paradise although rustic...

This was my first visit to Lake O'Hara and my first stay at the lodge. It was an outstanding experience and this trip has to be one of my best ever. We stayed for 2 nights - not nearly enough because I didn't want to leave! This is a destination - not a stopover. You must book far in advance...

We spent 4 nights here with our 11 year old son. It was our third trip and his first introduction to Lake O'Hara and the Rockies. Canada Day was a perfect clear blue skied day and we could not have hoped for any better. The valley is so breathtaking, the hiking is excellent. We had a guides cabin which is...
