Visited here for one day for family vacation at 4 December 2016. Location is very peaceful, but rubbish and dump is everywhere in the water. Alu-alu Restaurant is great but with more $$$. The Macac Restaurant have good choice of menu for breakfast. Snorkelling and Kayaking is surround with plastic bag and dirty algae. Staff and Management Team is very...

Visited here for 4 days in november, what a setting this place has! The bungalows were well maintained and very clean and the staff were faultless! I could easily sit on my balcony and admire the view of mount Kinabalu and the masses of wildlife surrounding me. Please watch out for the monkeys they got into our room! Only because...

The days are hot and humid but the location is peaceful and quiet. The Marine research area is great and the giant clam ecology and growing area are a big part of the island. There is great safe diving area and swimming either in the pool or ocean.

Only stayed for 1 night on Gayana Eco Resort, check in process was very smooth and took place at Jesselton Ferry Point, they carry the luggage onto the ferry for you and off the other side, upon arrival we were greeted with a complimentary drink. I thought the Island was beautiful with great scenery out towards the sea and view...

We stayed at Gayana Eco Resort for the last 4 nights of our trip (3 women). We stayed in the jungle villa, so no direct access to the ocean although we didn't mind walking up to the main reception to grab snorkel gear. The snorkelling was amazing around the resort! Staff were always very helpful and lovely to deal with....

There are some real positives about the place and some real setbacks. We found our way to the jetty and the checking in process and travel to the resort by boat was efficient -when you arrived they provided a cool towel and refreshment. We did not like our booked lagoon Villa (which is the cheapest) as they are right next...

I hoped not to have to write this review, but I do feel that the hotel profited from our misfortune. I had booked a room for the last 3 nights of our honeymoon trip, which cost us nearly £400. Very expensive, but a splash out. Unfortunately the booking was apparently non-refundable. Due to circumstances totally out of our control, we...

The luxury of a resort in the middle of island is definitely an amazing getaway for those is is looking for a short escape of bustling city life. If you stay at Palm villa, the highlight is it's jacuzzi overlooking the ocean.

My wife and I stayed at Gayana Eco Resort in September 2016 for our honeymoon. We were greeted at the airport by our private driver who we had organised through the hotel. We were offered a bottle of water each and then driven twenty minutes to the jetty. Here we paid our deposit and checked in for the boat transfer...

If relaxation and time out is what you need, I would recommend this resort. The resort itself need some refurbishment as it does look a little tired. That said, we had a wonderful couple of days. On arrival at the airport we were met by a representative who took us to Jesselton Pier to resort office. Our check in was...
