This would be a good motel in any location-clean, economical, well maintained and the staff was great but what sets it apart is the location- out in the boonies beside a quiet two lane road. I recommend putting the address in the GPS- if you blink you might fly right on by.

This hotel, while a bit out of the way was perfect. Great value, good breakfast. Clean and quiet. Got to watch the stars from my room window. Managers/owners were pleasant and helpful. Remote location but they had microwave meals, snacks and drinks that were not overpriced, I plan to return to Canyonlands and stay at the Rodeway!

The owners are very kind and helpful and the rooms clean. Additionally, as you are in a remote location it is very quit so we had a peaceful sleep. Do keep in mind that the nearest town is several miles away if you are looking for dinner. However, due to its location and the view it feels a bit like... More

The service was excellent. The managers were extremely attentive and helpful and made sure that all our needs were being met. The service was as good as I have ever seen anywhere. The room was clean and quiet. We had a great stay.

This hotel is very basic, no frills, BUT good folks on site to help with questions and info. We did not know we would have to drive about 18 miles into Hanksville for supper, so we just decided to jump in the pool to refresh ourselves and head out. The property was clean, linens were fresh and breakfast was adequate.... More

Like others have said, it is clean, basic, and easy to miss when driving. Staff (one family) works hard to please guests. Location is especially good for visitors wanting to explore the eastern side of Capital Reef N.P. Would have given 5 stars except this location is 18 miles from the nearest food for dinner.

Don't blink because you will drive right by it. Rodeway Inn Capitol Reef isn't the real name for this hotel. It's Rodeway Inn Caineville an we had to ask a Park Ranger who said there was only one Rodeway so we turned back 10 miles to find it again. 50's outside entrance motel. Room was clean although dated furniture. Bathroom... More

We found our room to be basic and clean. Good value for the price. All amenities working while we were there. We met the new hotel management staff who at the time had only been there less than 2 weeks. Staff exhibited a great attitude. Hotel is a 25-30 minute drive from Torrey, Utah. It is however only about 10... More

We stayed several nights while exploring Capitol Reef NP and points east. It's a good location if you're varying your plans based on weather. The Caineville entrance into Cathedral Valley is 0.4 miles from the motel. From here there are easy day trips to Goblin Valley SP, Horseshoe Canyon (district of Canyonlands NP), the Waterpocket Fold (via Notom Road), or... More

I would have given this travel-lodge style motel three stars except for a faint but persistent odor which I had a hard time getting used to, and would prevent me from returning. The location, though remote is quite beautiful and less than a half hour to Capitol Reef NP, but even closer to roads to Cathedral Valley and the Burr... More
