Lovely old hotel / pub - complete with squeaky floorbodrds walking down the hall. We stayed two nights to do a walk with family - all very happy with accomodation and food. And the fire. Helpful and friendly - we would go again if I can find another walk closeby. Only thing for them to improve on is the turnaround...

I stayed for a couple of nights recently - enjoyed good breakfasts (large enough to not need lunch) and evening meals too. The Timothy Taylor's Landlord slipped down very well indeed at the end of the day. We found the staff friendly and the bar, with roaring log fire, had a lovely atmosphere in the evenings - a mixture of...

First, the criticisms: Booked a luxury room at a cost of £120. Definitely was not luxury and the hotel generally is tired and old fashioned. The room needed a good dust and the mattress needed replacing as you could feel the springs. The paintwork was chipped, the headboard marked, and the carpet tired. The bathroom was new, clean and functioning,...

Jon (without a 'H') gave us a warm welcome paired with great beer and great food. A beautiful pub and lovely atmosphere with an open fire and particularly good background music! Definitely coming back. 😊

Have been visiting this pub a couple of times a year for many years whilst on walking ventures in the Dales. Was initially disappointed to find the Sunday carvery was no more, but the Sunday roasts did not disappoint. Selection of three meats, served with ample piping hot veg, proper Yorkshire puds and washed down with decent beer. Bar staff...

We had a fabulous Saturday night in the Tennants after a great day out with friends. The Tim Taylor's was excellent and the food was very good. No complaints with the service and the staff were very hospitable . Sunday lunch is recommended too. Hope that the guys running the place have every success. Take a look at the Tour...

A friendly welcome awaited my husband and myself , we were shown to the Littondale room, which was a large room with a double bed, cushioned bench, dressing table and huge long standing mirror. There was a big bathroom with a nice spa bath, which just fitted the two of us in. Breakfast was a full English with cereals juices...

One night stay on a spur of the moment trip. Rooms are large with good En suite bathrooms but it is where the food comes into its own, I had the Sunday roast beef and pork which was possibly the best pub roast I've ever had. The sticky toffee pudding also earns a special mention-get it! Lovely place with friendly...

A perfectly located establishment especially for walkers. A team of helpful, friendly staff looked after us and the rooms were well appointed.. Perhaps breakfast could have started a little earlier than 8.30 but the food was good.
