When it is time to visit the champagne area this is my trusted address for very good classical french cuisine: they have a good selection of local champagnes for aperitif, and a nice " travelers menu" at very reasonable prices. The hosts are very professional, the interior is a bit "old bourgeois", but the food and wines are excellent!

We booked this hotel on the basis that they had a restaurant that did an evening meal as well as breakfast. The only good thing about the whole experience was the breakfast. Everything else was poor at best. Half way through dinner they demanded we settle the whole bill and after going to get a card to pay they wanted...

We have now stayed at La Touraine Champenoise on our way from Scotland to Italy and back for the last five years and hope to be able to continue to do so for many more years. This is a small family-run hotel, now in something like its fourth generation. I find it difficult to recognise the warm welcome and excellent...

Disappointing food experience so far. But this one hit it out of the park. Nothing fancy, but extraordinarily well executed. Well prepared food it is at a premium in Champagne. Great choice following a morning tasting in Bouzy. Will look into using this as a home base if we come back.

Having not booked any accommodation, we chanced upon the hotel simply by following a sign. We were the only guests staying at the hotel but the restaurant was full in the evening - obviously popular with the locals. The room seemed freshly decorated and in very good taste, with the usual caveat about self-contained shower units and their capacity to...

We ate at this restaurant on recommendation of our gite, and it was acceptable but not great. My wife and I had the three course menu, starters of poached eggs in cheese sauce and terrine du maison were great. Faux fillet was grisselly and not great. Kids had some salmon, which was cooked perfectly. Everything seemed to take ages though,...

We stayed at this hotel 4-5 years ago, and had a very good memory from both accomodation and dinner. I had an evening to spare and chose my dinner at the restaurant. As a single guest I was placed in the middle of the room. Why can not restaurants understand that single guests do not need to be placed on...

While the ambience and setting of this hotel was as recommended, we ended up with a little more than we bargained for. Having travelled on a new build house boat for a week leading up to our stay, we thought we would treat ourselves before heading back to the UK. (My other half had enjoyed a meal here whilst doing...

We had a very poor experience in this hotel/restaurant. 1) The menu is overpriced for the quality of the food (48 – 58 Euro for 4-5 courses), but a nice “amuse bouche” and very good “café gourmand” 2) Only one brand of champagne was served by the glass in the heart of the Champagne region 3) The restaurant is understaffed,...

We found this small hotel by accident about lO yrs. ago and now stay every time we stock up with champagne. It is family run, some bedrooms not very large and one or two can be noisy occasionally. However, the breakfast cannot be faulted - cereals, bowls of cherries, strawberries, melon, kiwi fruit and raspberries together with yoghurt, croissant, rolls...
