Thank you to Greg and Ali for making our New Year break in Waihi Beach so special. Our room was lovely and spacious with great furnishings, bedding and accessories. It was less than a two minute walk to the beautiful quiet beach across the road and an easy 20 minute walk down to town (a bit further to the Flat...

We stayed 5 days at Waihi Beach Lodge and it was exactly what we expected after reading their website : We found a great room, great food (we terribly miss Ali’s juicy banana muffins and Gregs rich and delicious ‚Full Waihi Beach Breakfast’) and last but not least great hosts. And the very, very, very long and breathtaking beach is...

Waihi Beach is a long ribbon of seaside homes. In late November it was quiet and sleepy. The long sandy beach itself is beautiful and we had it virtually to ourselves. Waihi Beach Lodge was the perfect stop off. Our room was decorated sea side style and the big window looked straight down towards the beach. The attention to detail...

We stayed in Waihi Beach Lodge on the recommendation of friends from Wellington. We were there for the first two nights of a two-week post-Christmas holiday and found it the perfect place to start our vacation. The room was very comfortable and well-appointed, the facilities great, and the hospitality outstanding. Greg and Ali were the most welcoming hosts we have...

My husband and I stayed for only one night in November as we concluded our trip to New Zealand. (we are Canadians) The room was very comfortable and is stocked with whatever you may need right down to beach towels. I wish the weather was nicer while we were there though to take advantage of those towels but maybe one...

Everything was awesome: breakfast, location, beach and facilities. Greg and Ali the most hospitable people I have ever met. They were extremely helpful. Definitely the best place at Waihi amd beach is very close.

This is my second trip to Waihi Beach Lodge and once again I have left feeling relaxed and well looked after. The accommodation is excellent and a very short walk to the beach; great place for fitness oriented people to go for a run, or romantics to see the multiple layers of stars at night. Greg and Ali cannot do...

We had a very enjoyable few days at Waihi Beach Lodge. Greg and Ali are great hosts and very helpful with their local knowledge and especially as I needed medical help. The pancakes at breakfast were superb and we certainly didn't eat lunch on any day that we were there. While the room was extremely comfortable it was not luxury...

This bed and breakfast accomodation run by a really lovely couple is just not what is advertised. Promoted as a 'Luxury Boutique Bed and Breakfast Lodge' this accomodation in my opinion is more accurately described as a bed and breakfast room, a block back from the beach with a shared lounge/living/deck area - all of which is shared with the...

As we expressed to you in person we are disappointed that you were unhappy with your stay and thank you for your feedback. However, upon realising you were not happy when you arrived we offered you the opportunity to not stay without penalty, you decided to stay. Secondly, we offered you a lift to the café as we do for...

Unfortunately we could only stay for 1 night at the Waihi Beach Lodge. Greg and Ali were so lovely and welcoming which made us want to stay longer. We were on our honeymoon touring around the North Island of New Zealand and from the other reviews we'd read, stopping at the Waihi Beach Lodge on our way from the Coromandel...
