We booked a Twin and Triple room and were given rooms on the third floor. The rooms were both of great size with the triple not only offering a shower but also a bathtub. Both rooms had balconies; unfortunately no chairs were provided and the double only had one desk chair.
The bed was nice but a little on the firm side for my taste. The TV offered a few international channels. The internet speed was amazing, I easily reached 90 on the download which must be the highest I have ever encountered. The room has a hair dryer and safe but no iron is provided (maybe we could have asked for one). The restaurant is currently only open for breakfast but with so many food options within easy reach this is not really a problem. We also saw some food being delivered so that would be another option.
The staff were amazing, from check-in to the bell boy (kudos for having this in a *** hotel) and I want to thank the morning buffet team for being amazing! Talking about breakfast. The staple on the buffet was mostly the same every day (with small variations) but what stood out is the daily offer of hot main courses with a changing daily offer. Quite amazing for a hotel of this standard.
The hotel also has a very nice pool area (which we unfortunately did not have time to check out).
Would I stay here again? Absolutely! Thanks to the Hotel Mayu team for a great experience.
We are upgraded to a superior room. Room is basic, spacious, clean and air conditioning is good.
Quiet surrounding though our room faced the pool but sound proofing quite alright.
Worth a stay at good price! We paid less than SGD75 for a night/ without breakfast.
Walking distance to One nimman and the Maya mall is just 5mins by walking.
Mall opens 10am and there are food courts (expensive), restaurants, cafes, bakery, pharmacy and supermarket
Our check-in was seamless and quick and we were helped to our room by a member of hotel staff. The usual.
The rooms are basic but of a really good standard with comfy beds. The hotel was kept immaculately clean and this of course extended to the rooms. It’s a standard hotel room but it’s really nice.
The hotel has a really good quality gym. Myself and my wife used this each morning to start off our day. The quality of the machinery is really good and a TV is present if you wish to watch something while working out.
The breakfast buffet was of a really good standard with a good range to choose from. They had good coffee also. I didn’t eat anything else while staying other than the breakfast as the hotel is located well and has a huge shopping centre (Maya Lifestyle) that has places to eat. There’s also lovely food markets and street food that you can avail of.
Overall it was a really good stay here.
NOT worth USD57+ per night.
Something to think about: does your hotel booking apps always give you poor quality room? Or does the problem belong to the hotel's front desk/ reservation?
staff are friendly and very helpful tho. was recommended to a very nice local food stall just 50m netinfo the hotel (Pensen), highly recommended!
"Dont stay here if you like cold aircon in the room. Their airconditioning unit in the room does not get cold. "Read full review
