My wife and I recently spent ten days at the Alba Palace Hotel in Favara. The hotel is rated 4 stars but the level of service does not suggest that. When a paying guest mentions that the shower is leaking, the blackout blind and main blind is broken you would like to think the hotel management would have known about it and have it fixed before a guest makes them aware of it, but no and the items were not fixed when we left. The management should not allow paying guests to have a room that have items broken or missing especially when it’s rated 4 stars.

We enjoyed our stay at Alba palace. The room was very comfortable. We loved eating the delicious breakfast on the terrace. We stayed here two nights & took day trips to Agrigento. Also loved exploring the beaches & Torre Salsa. The staff is friendly & helpful. The hotel is a little hard to find at first, but the staff will park your car for you if you can’t find a spot in the narrow streets. The pizza restaurant which is part of the hotel is in a charming alleyway & the food is delicious. There is really good gelato right in front of the hotel.

We stayed in the basic part Of this hotel. It’s was-around $100 But not At all worth it. Advertised as a 4 star hotel buts really a 3 star max. The shower had no cold Water and was scolding. No glasses for drinking either. A glaring attention to detail And the room was worn. Really thought we’d get a 4 star Sicilian hotel but the facilities were more of a 3/2 Star. Although the town and particularly the Farm Cultural Center were interesting this hotel oversold itself.

This is a very nice full-service hotel that will do everything from your laundry to picking you up from the Catania or Palermo airport to arranging a beach chair and umbrella for you. The staff's English is perfect. Our room was attractive, and we appreciated the free valet service, but what actually made the Alba Palace stand out from all other places was the awe-inspiring traditional Sicilian breakfast. Starting with an automated coffee machine that let you discreetly make as many cappuccinos as needed--the jet lag was serious at this point--the staff offered us scrambled eggs cooked to order, which my partner said he enjoyed. The big news was the gargantuan spreads of savories and sweets, all local and/or traditional. Cheeses, salami, fresh olives, and yeast breads; fresh juices including blood orange. outstanding fresh fruit; and a vast array of sweets. The 3 types of cake that we tried (!) were amazing, so were the ultra-crisp sesame biscotti, and alongside jams for spreading on toast they also offered a pot of pistachio cream, which turned out to be good on pretty much everything. We tried to justify our outrageous hedonism as gastronomical research into local cooking tradition--but it was all wonderful with no cultural relativism involved! The staff was very knowledgeable about places to visit in Favara, even explaining to us that the large Chiesa Madre is inaccessible because, after burning twice during the 20th century, it has more recently been struck by lightning. I feel bad for the local community, but stories like these are why you travel! The hotel, especially along with a trip to U Maccicuni for dinner, was more than enough reason to stay here instead of in Agrigento.

This luxury hotel is a gem and Oasis of peace, comfort and impeccable service smack in the old city centre of Favara. Due to the central location and the narrow Italian Streets it is not easy to find hidden discretely away off the cosy central village square, but our iPhone Maps GPS did it for us in spite of our occasional doubts. The reception valet helps you park your car. Everything here is top notch. The kind and helpful staff, the rooms, the beds, the cooking of the restaurant, the breakfast. The roof terrace with cooling jaccuzi offers an outstanding view of the Mighty Church of Favara. The outside serving of the restaurant may look like a boring court yard but go to the end of it and you’ll enjoy a great atmosphere and view of authentic old houses and a Church tower. Even the discretely playing music which is softly present plays a choice selection of contemporary classics from the past 40 years. Equipped with a map from the kind receptionist we walked around the small, intimate village center both in daylight and after nightfall and we recommend these two very different experiences to those who have been so fortunate to select Alba Palace Hotel in Favara.

Nice Boutique Hotel in the middle of Favara. Rooms are great (Thanks for the upgrade by the way!), Staff is friendly and they have an amazing Pizza Place to go for dinner ! One thing is important: If you come by car make sure to contact Hotel in advance as they will give you great directions to get there. We would have probably had problems going by Waze or Google Maps as you could easily get stuck in one of the narrow streets leading to the property.

Nice hotel that is restored well. Great double shower with good pressure. Good breakfast selection and this hotel feels like you are in an upscale city hotel. Nice staff especially the person at the front desk. Very relaxing hotel. Favara is good base to visit Agrigento area.

Although we stayed during St. Joseph fiests, the hotelus comfortable and quiet. The room and furnish is good, comfortable bed. The hotel restaurant is fine. We found only two things to mention. First, air conditioning is underdimensioned (despite the fact that our room was oriented to east, in automatic mode with 24 C the fan did not stop during whole night). Second, surprisingly unlike many other smaal luxury hotels, this hotel does not serve a good cofee (arabica pure). Last, small details like a complimentary bottle of mineral water in your room, would be appreciated. Taking into account hot sicilian climate and rates of accomodation.

The Alba Palace is a very nicely restored hotel with modem spacious rooms. We found the rooms very quiet and very reasonable priced for the quality of the rooms. It is extremely difficult to find and the driving in streets in Favara is not easy. Thankfully for us I was able to call someone who lives in Favara to guide us to the hotel otherwise we would have never have found it. Breakfast is sufficient and the same as all continental breakfasts anywhere you go. Would definitely stay again.

The Alba Palace hotel went above and beyond anything we were expecting during our visit to the Agrigento area. The property is located in a charming section of the city that is easily walkable with a lively piazza and a gelataria next door. Not only are the rooms updated, spacious, and luxurious, but the service is exceptional. All the staff were extremely helpful. They offered restaurant and excursion suggestions both in Favara and in the neighboring areas such as vineyard and dairy tours. The hotel hosted an excellent breakfast included with the room that is served on the patio outside during warm sunny mornings. Additionally the hotel has it’s own wine cellar, and we chose to do the wine tasting offered by the hotel. Andrea chose a perfect selection of wines for us to try and paired them with a variety of appetizers. I learned a lot about the different grapes grown in Sicily and what makes the Sicilian environment special for growing grapes. In just an hour Andrea taught me more about appreciating wine as a product of the location in which it is produced than I’ve ever learned before. This was what showed us that the Alba Palace really is trying to create unique experience for their guests and to help people explore more of Sicilian culture.
