My family surprised me with a 60th birthday family weekend in Beit She'an. Youth hostel is deceiving- this lovely place is a guest house. The rooms are basic-clean and comfortable . The food is delicious and plentiful. Not a large choice but all fresh and delicious. I left something in the room and the staff graciously mailed it to me,

Located right on route 90. Basic, clean rooms with bathrooms and toilets, comfortable beds, very good air conditioning. Nice breakfast. Small swimming pool. Very well maintained. Over all good value for your money.

This place is large and modern on the main road in Beit She'an. Our family room was comfortable enough and the pool was great (though crowded with kids) after a hot day visiting Beit She'an ruins. The breakfast was adequate, though not as good as some of the other breakfasts we had at Israeli hostels.

We spent a weekend at the Beit Shean Hostel as part of a group of families celebrating a bar-mitzvah. This was not the first time we had been there. Like many of the newer Israeli Youth Hostels, this one is clean, well-maintained, the rooms are basic but comfortable, and the food is good but not gourmet. As a group, we...

Although the Guest House does not resemble a resort, it is a most welcome, albeit modest place to stay while in Beit She'an. To be sure, it is geared for children and young adults on field trips but that is not to say that it does not cater to adults as well. It also has a fine restaurant inside the...

We needed a place to stay in order to visit a nearby kibbutz and didn't expect much. It turned out to be as very nice place. Beautiful building, attractive though basic rooms, refrigerator. Very nice building. Tasty Israeli breakfast. Great view of the Jordan Valley and Jordan. Near very interesting restored Roman ruins.

This hostel is an inexpensive - and practically the only - option for staying in Beit Shean. Staff are friendly, the rooms and patio are very nice and clean, and there is plenty of parking. However, this hostel also has several significant drawbacks. First and foremost, it is used mainly by school-children on their school-trips, which heavily affects the atmosphere...

It's part of the International Youth Hostel Association, but indeed rather a hotel than a hostel. Many private rooms, a huge dining hall (half board exists) and a swimming pool (only in summer, till end of September). Stuff is very professional; everything is very clean, but a bit slick. The hostel is often used by big school groups on their...

This Israeli Youth Hostel & Guest House is well run. clean, modern and even has an elevator. The woman at the front desk runs the place more like a hotel with excellent service. On the main route into town from the south, this Guest House is one of the only places to stay in town and just a few minutes...

If you're a budget traveler, go for it. It served our needs, was clean enough, and didn't break the bank. However, it is a youth hostel with all the dorm style everything that you imagine. So, if you think that booking a private room here will be just like staying in a hotel, you will be disappointed. But if you...
