Catherine, our host, was very welcoming. The room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good, and the other guests were nice as well. Private parking is available round the back and there is a busstop nearby with busses that go into Edinburgh. Leith is easily accessible by car. The two dogs in the downstairs area are large and very friendly....

We had a lovely stay here, Catherine was very welcoming (as were her beautiful dogs) and could not have been more helpful. The bedroom was lovely with a very comfy bed, breakfast was delicious. The guest house was ideal for our needs as we were attending a local event and we will not hesitate to use it again. Highly recommended.

Booked in for a family funeral and was given nothing but hostility. No warning about dogs roaming freely. My father and I took our luggage to our rooms and locked the doors, upon our return the doors were wide open and we had to check to ensure nothing had been stolen. Police were called and we got evicted for something...

That is the reason why you and yours were...

We stayed here for two nights from 3rd-5th March, we booked a family room for three of us, myself, my husband and our 19 year old daughter, our room was spotlessly clean and very spacious and although the third bed was a pull out bed, my daughter found it very comfortable, the large double bed was also extremely comfortable and...

Fantastic guest house run by Katherine, just a short bus ride from Edinburgh. Great little pub across the road and a two minute walk into the little village of Tranent which has most shops, PO, laundry etc for travellers. Katherine's two old english sheepdogs will welcome you and there is parking on the site.

Me and my husband have now stayed here on 2 occasions in the last 6 months, the 1st time was for 5 nights at the end of April and the 2nd time was last month with our 14yr old son. Both times were for a family bereavement, however Catherine made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble....

Visited Edinburgh for the first time & it was truly wonderful experience. B&B location is perfect for sightseeing in Edinburgh & surroundings. Breakfast is decent. Catherine the host lady was friendly & looked after us very well. If we visit again we shall surely stay at this place again.
