I will start by saying this hotel is beautiful, very modern, clean and in a really good location. It’s in walking distance to bars, restaurants and the beach is a stones throw away. However, there are a few issues that need addressing. We travelled with our 7 month old and although TUi advertise this as a family hotel, it is far from it. It really should be adult only for a number of reasons. It isn’t very pram friendly or even suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There aren’t any ramps and lots of steps meaning we had to carry our pram on many occasions up and down steps which isn’t ideal. The hotels A La Carte restaurant, the Italian, is located upstairs with no lift which is ridiculous. The clientele is also very young. Everywhere you look, there is some sort of Instagram photo shoot going on. As other reviews have stated, the sunbeds situation is a joke. The pool opens at 9am, however people start queuing at 8am and there is a mad dash when the ropes are dropped with all the sunbeds gone within 30 seconds. The number of arguments we seen and experiences ourselves with other guests throwing towels off unattended sunbeds was shocking. I’ve never experienced that at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The hotel need to do something about it and have some sort of sun bed assignment in place. Most of the sunbeds are also in the shade by lunch time due to the way the hotel is built with the sun behind it. There is another pool down by the beach but it’s tiny and again the majority of the sunbeds are in the shade all day which is a shame. There is little entertainment and nothing got children. I don’t regret taking our baby because of the age he is but if he was any older, I wouldn’t bother as there’s nothing for him to do. There were also no baby change facilities at all which we found really odd. All of this makes it not suitable for families with children. The staff cannot be faulted, they were amazing and also so good with our baby. They made us feel so welcome and couldn’t do enough for us. Michaela by the pool serving drinks is amazing, she works so hard and deserves recognition! The restaurant staff were all super friendly too as well as the reception staff. We stayed half board and the food was nice. We liked the fact we could change our evening meal to lunch and then we ate out on the evenings a few times which was a nice change. There was always lots of food to choose from at the buffet but we didn’t really rate the Italian restaurant. Our room was a partial pool view which was lovely, it was very clean and modern and the beds were very comfy. It is a lovely hotel and I would recommend it to young couples. It just has a few issues to iron out which have prevented me from rating it 5 stars.

Akasha beach hotel is beautiful & the staff cannot be faulted at all, however there are issues. The cleanliness of the hotel is unmatched, rooms are cleaned every day to the highest standard making it super relaxing to come back from a day in the heat to an air conditioned, stunning & clean room. The beds are divine but these cannot be enjoyed for a lie-in in the morning due to the sunbed wars that occur daily. There are maybe 30 sunbeds around the main pool, meaning you have to be ready race at 8:30am for a bed. The hotel argues that there is a second pool, but they fail to show this clearly on the website as it is very small & not what you expect from a 5* hotel. The sunbeds could be allocated on rotation each day so everyone gets a chance to be by the pool & have access to the quality service provided by the waiters & waitresses; this however is not the case. Further to having to race for a sunbed with no queuing system, due to the architecture of the hotel, some of the sunbeds begin to lose the sun at midday & by 5pm, no sunbed is in the sunlight. Furthermore, the hotel appears targeted to a young, classy & modern clientele but there is absolutely nothing to do in the evenings after dinner. There is music on yes but the bar shuts at 12 & there are not many tables around the bar area where music plays so again, we spent many nights without access to the comfort the hotel offers. If you are not sat by the bar, no body comes round to take a drinks order from you. The food is top quality but the buffet stills becomes repetitive. As my boyfriend & I went all inclusive we did not think this would be a problem as “snacks” are included throughout the day. Turns out “snacks” only means limited cold items - chips & so on during the day are not included & you have to pay extra - not what you expect at a 5* hotel all inclusive. With the all inclusive package costing around £500 each extra for a week we could not wait to sit & have a cocktail around the pool. To our further disappointment, the all inclusive does not include many of the very popular drinks. Strawberry daquaris, pornstar martinis & pina coladas are not included. There are two house beers & a few wine options. Each cocktail costs about €8.50, & whilst we definitely drunk our money worth in mojitos, the drinks menu for all inclusive guests becomes boring. How are standard cocktails not included when we have spent so much money? Location wise, everything we wanted was on our doorstep, bars, clubs & restaurants. However whilst on this part of the Island you will not see a single sunset (obviously not the hotels fault but just something to consider). This is true also for sea facing rooms & the sunlight is lost from around midday. A piece of advice - do NOT get a city facing room. City facing means overlooking the main road & other guests have complained that the noise mirrors that of the m25. Similarly, the plunge pools are cold & not worth the money. Beautiful for instagram pictures but not practical, all the guests in the hotel can see you so there is no privacy & the are very cold. Due to this we have not seen a single person using their pool whilst we have stayed here. Half board guests can change dinner to lunch which is a great benefit, further making the all inclusive package less desirable as it is not good value for money. Both packages include 1 meal at the speciality restaurant which was impressive, picturesque & delicious. One night we had people banging on our door at 3:30am disrupting us from our sleep. After complaining about this, our disappointment about the all inclusive package & sunbed situation, the hotel allowed us to add one cocktail to the drinks package. The spa treatment was the highlight of the holiday & definitely worth the money! Maybe our expectations for this holiday & hotel were too high but we simply expected relaxation, sun & to be able to eat & drink to our hearts content. Instead we were bored of the drinks, paying for food & sitting in the shade after 1pm around the main pool. Absolutely do not bring young ones here as there is nothing for them to do but if you want some stunning pictures of the scenary & of yourselves for instagram this is the place for you. Read the reviews & evaluate whether the all inclusive package is worth it. We wanted to say thank you to the incredible service delivered by the staff, the spa team, bartenders & waiters & waitresses made our experience lovely. Unfortunately, overall we cannot help but be disappointed by our week abroad; it has cost us a lot of money & has not given us what we expected. The service may be 5*, but we do not feel our holiday was. ** For reference these pictures of the hotel have been taken at 1pm**

Dear valued Guest, We would like to express our gratitude for the comments you made about your recent visit. They help us to understand how our guests experience their stay with us. We are very pleased to read that you did like the room we accommodated you in and that you found it to be clean and comfortable at all times. We find it very significant to make your stay with us even more relaxing and enjoyable; hence we are glad you felt relaxed and rejuvenated after our Spa treatments. We are sorry to hear about the inconvenience you experienced over our main pool. For this reason, we recommend the guests to enjoy their time by another swimming pool, the beach, as well as in green areas with lounges that are part of the pools. There are plenty of sun beds, available for our guests, all of them being free of charge. Moreover, in case of any inconveniences, our guest relations ladies are always at the guests’ disposal to help if necessary. Regarding the all inclusive snacks, the guests are welcome to find a big variety of them in the beach house between 10:00 – 5:00 pm. Everyday our chefs prepare different sweet and savory snacks to meet our guests’ preferences. Among them tortillas, Italian pastries, croissants with meat or vegetarian fillings, desserts and much more. The same applies to our all inclusive beverage package. We regret to learn that varied long drinks, cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and soft drinks were not satisfactory enough. As for the water temperature, kindly note that our pools are outdoor and depend on the weather conditions. For the guests convenience we offer an indoor pool and rooms with Jacuzzi as well. Lastly, we would like to thank you for your praising words on our products and services. They are highly appreciated and we will make sure to congratulate the entire team on your behalf. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel, assuring you of our personalized service and best attention at all times. Yours sincerely, The Management of Akasha Beach Hotel & Spa

Had a 9 day stay at Akasha beach and Spa hotel and had an amazing time. The hotel itself is lovely, clean and aesthetically pleasing. The room was a pleasure to be in too, with a large balcony. The staff were spot on, always making us feel welcome and helping us with any queries we had. The hotel had options of 2 restaurants, the standard buffet and could book reservations at their Italian restaurant. Both had lovely food, the food at the buffet did get a bit repetitive but the option of the italian restaurant abled us to mix it up! There are a large amount of reviews complaining about no sunbeds available around the pool area, this was true with people reserving them early in the morning. However we found that the sunbeds at the beach and beach house were far nicer surroundings! Great time and would happily come back. William

I spent a week, half board with my 19 year old daughter. I can’t fault the hotel for service, food, wonderful staff, decor, location, amenities et etc. “A” star, amazing! We had a fantastic holiday - beautiful sea view room with a wonderful view. But. Queuing from 7am to get “pole position” at the main pool in order to take selfie after selfie?!? Is this what being on holiday is about? Sitting at dinner continuously on your phone? Total lack of engagement with fellow guests to the point of being rude? Not sure .. but .. extremely odd clientele and odd vibe. Best experiences were “getting out” 😂 on a yacht trip, quad bike safari and walking up to Hersonissos for drinks and dinner I think if you enjoy watching Love Island, are mid 20s and want to pretend you’re in Miami this hotel is perfect.

Returned home yesterday from an amazing 8 nights holidays at this hotel. We stayed in rooms 4207- 4208. We had the best experience at this hotel. There is no fault about this hotel. The hotel itself is amazing and its a perfect location right on the beach. The room is clean on daily basis (depending if you remember to turn on the red or green light on before leaving the room. Fresh towels and beach towels changed on daily basis. The staff are an absolute credit to this place, very friendly, hard working and helpful. The spa treatment is amazing. George and Elena are amazing and friendly, I had full deep tissue massage and our daughter had the facial treatment, we felt so refreshed and revitalised after the treatment. The indoor pool is beautiful. We always used the beds at the beach and found you could always get one after breakfast. This wasn’t the case for the main pool area which is understandable as it’s the most popular area. Previous reviews are correct about the Love Island rejects running for the pool beds at 08.50ish. Special big thanks to the beach guys - Mikhalis, Christian, Dimitriz, Alessandra – they are absolute fantastic, friendliest and very helpful. Kristian always makes us laugh. The food is amazing, plenty to choose from breakfast, lunch and dinner. The team at the bar, Manos, Dimitris and the rest of the team were an absolute joy to have met and served us some beautifull cocktails. Excellent service throughout. From our experience, we highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely return to this hotel for our next holiday.

Could not ask for more from this hotel. From the moment we arrived every member of staff was friendly in their greeting and made the whole stay a great experience. The bar staff throughout the day, at the pools, breakfast, dinner and lunch could not have been kinder and more hardworking. They even had our room number memorised by the second day. The hotel is as picturesque as the pictures on the website suggest and it is a beautiful hotel. The only downfall is the sunbed situation. If you were queued up at 8:45 and didn’t mind not getting one of the double beds, which were almost fought over, you would easily get a sunbed round the main pool for the day. If not we noticed there was plenty of spaces at the pool downstairs and the beach. We were all inclusive plus, and some main cocktails are not included, however there is more than enough to choose from. The selection at breakfast lunch and dinner was more than enough, and we found the food was of quite a high quality also, varying very well everyday. We were even offered to upgrade our room free of charge to one of the main suites for one night on the last night of our stay, to which we found the room we upgraded to was amazing. However we did not have the greatest view in our main room, but could not fault the actual room itself. Overall this hotel is quite amazing, has beautiful locations, amazing staff and is clean to a very high standard. Would definitely stay here again.

We visited this hotel for a couple of days in august 2022 as a couple. Every aspect of the stay was above expectation. Room, restaurant, bar, beach were all in theme of the spa feeling. Food was very nice and up to standard. The staff was superfriendly and helpfull. I would also recommend taking a massage, it was the best one I ever had. In short, returned home relaxed, and with a smile.

We didn’t stop in this hotel but we visited for the spa and were blown away. We will definitely be looking to book with them in the future as the place looked absolutely amazing. Located right on the beach and is probably the best looking hotel in the area. We spoke to Emma the spa manager who talked us through/recommended services specific to us which was amazing. Our couples massage done by George and Klea was absolutely amazing. If I could give them 10 stars I would. All the staff throughout the hotel and spa were super friendly. Book here for the spa at least and you will not regret it! Thanks again to all staff but especially George, Klea and Emma
