We really enjoyed our one night stay at Casa Alvarada. From the moment when we stopped in to see if a room was available, we felt at home. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable and there was great wifi. Enjoyed the grounds. Breakfast was a delight. We look forward to returning soon to Comala and Casa Alvarada...

This B&B is a family run business. It has tasteful and traditional furnishings and a relaxing courtyard. It is close to the town square where there is lots of amazing music for comida. Appetizers (barbotanos) are free for the cost of drinks. An amazing cultural experience in a Pueblo Magic. Jupiter also offers tours around the area. We did the...

The hotel is a very small bed and breakfast type hotel. We had a large suite and the furnishings and décor were all from Alejandro Hidalgo Rangel. All the rooms have some form of local theme in their decor. The room was large, comfortable and very quiet. We had inside secure parking, but there is only room for about 4...

We arrived in Comala without a reservation, however, having stayed at Casa Alvarada before we thought we'd try it. There were four of us and they did not have 2 rooms available. We asked for suggestions and Mara told us that she also managed a house nearby. Jupiter took us to see it, it was lovely. Three bedrooms which can...

This cozy B&B was close to the center of town, very comfortable, and filled with a family history. Jupiter and his wife, Mara, were perfect hosts! We had the most delicious breakfast (home-made everything, of course!), and then took off for an amazing day-hike to the volcano with Jupiter as our tour guide. He and his wife run their own...

Staying at Casa Alvarada felt like staying with family. Mara and her very sweet dog, Café, welcomed us. Our family of 3 took 2 rooms for 3 nights. One room was newly constructed and the other was very clean but a bit rustic. All guest rooms open to a patio with outdoor seating and a "Bali Bed"! Breakfast in the...

My wife and I, just spent 7 nights at this hotel. Let me begin by saying that the hours of on line research for a hotel in Comala paid off. Amazing rooms and views. Breakfast was DELICIOUS. Thank You!

I am sitting on the terrace outside the Villa Monar Rangeliano room enjoying the sunshine, amazing garden, and feeling full and satisfied after the delicious breakfast. Our room consists of a bedroom, living room and kitchen which has everything you need to cook for yourself. We found the short walk to the centro and the variety of restaurants there meant...

This is more of a bed and breakfast setting but the place was super clean and the owners are very nice. The breakfast was delicious and super filling. It's like staying at a friend's house for the weekend. The main plaza is close by too!
