Never a dull moment at Carr House. The owner Anna is a wonderful welcoming person. The place oozes charm and the breakfasts are wonderful. The bedroom was lovely and the whole experience for the two days we were there will be repeated. Can't wait to go again Thank you Gill and Martin

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending 3 nights with Anna and Jack on a trip through North Yorkshire. The room was idyllic in a converted barn with a four poster bed plus clean and simple bathroom. Upon arrival we were treated to some homemade tea and cake and this continud throughout our entire stay! The breakfast was...

Often you read about the Yorkshire Moors and Dales in story books and have this picture in your mind about rolling glades and little houses covered with ivy in a little village with a solitary pub, provision store, bakery and church. But on a holiday it eludes you. Not so if you opt to stay the Carr House Farm which...

We were visiting Yorkshire for a funeral and we had to take "pot luck" as we searched for a room local to Ampleforth to stay as we only had a few days to find somewhere. Well, we were not disappointed when finding Carr House. Arriving very late from a long journey we were welcomed with home made cakes and plenty...

Perfect location and excellent service. Anna and Jack were fantastic hosts. We were only able to stay for 1 night but both my fiancee and I loved it. The room (outside cottage) was all you could ask for from a decent barn conversion. Warm, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good. Fresh fruit and full English made with...

Our family have been frequent visitors at this idilic farm house for 2 years now . Not only is this splendid bed and breakfast settled on a hill with Yorkshire hills spread endlessly as long as the eye can see but the inside matches the perfect beauty of outside. The bedrooms are stunning and SO comfortable , the only downside...

My fiance and I are avid hikers and were looking for a comfortable place to rest after our long excursions, we definitely found it here. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of space for the both of us. Anna was wonderful by making sure we had anything we needed from giving us nibbles when we arrived and providing...

We stayed for a long weekend in a great room with a skylight and four poster bed (Anna had remembered me saying I was bringing a telescope during our brief phone conversation!) and our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Anna's home baking was superb, our accommodation was first class and the area is outstandingly beautiful. Can't recommend...
