This review splits me .. food / experience We have been before for Sunday lunch and we loved it such a warm welcome and lovely service and food , wanted to share with extended family as a treat .... On arrival warm welcome from a random local sat at the bar the manger/ owner didn't greet us with a smile...

I was visiting family nearby and wanted somewhere to escape to/re-charge so decided a village inn would be lovely for 2 nights. The room was very pleasant and rustic although had a wooden footboard on the bed which was pretty, but annoying, as I'm 6'4 so had to poke my feet through the slats! Nice couple that run the place,...

Great place great people fantastic service, breakfast was superb.Bed was uncomfortable but more because I was too tall to fit properly, parking is plentiful and free, locals were also happy to mingle with visitors, dogs are welcome and there are plenty of them in the bar.

The landlords were very welcoming and took great care to make sure we had a good stay. Very nice rooms and a convenient place to stay near to yeovil in a cute village. Haven given advance notice they were very accommodating of a vegan diet and made suitable delicious food which was highly appreciated!

Picked this pub as a possibility for a get together with friends which would be for a group of 8. Today there were 4 of us. Had booked in case they were busy. In fact there were only two other tables that became occupied whilst we were there. First impressions were favourable. Setting looked nice, good wood burning fire, nice...

Really enjoyed my stay here. I stayed here for 3 days whilst on a course for work in Yeovil town centre. It's about 4 miles out and takes about 10 mins to reach centre. Pub is very quiet below and the staff very friendly. The building is very old and has lots of character so don't come here expecting modern...

Nice dinner with my wife; we got there early so it was nice and quiet. Good value food, good quality and tasty too. Also, a nice selection at the bar. Fire was lovely but a bit hot if you sat too near it! Plenty of parking.

I used to visit this pub very frequently when working as a supplier to Westland in Yeovil. To celebrate a recent birthday my wife booked us a meal at the pub as I kept saying I missed coming here. The manner on the phone was pleasant enough, but once we got to the pub the experience was not enjoyable. The...

What a nice place to stay. The landlord was incredibly helpful. He even stayed up to make sure that we were in safe from our visit to the theater at Yeovil. I would thoroughly recommend this Inn. The decor/renovation is stunning and the setting is idyllic. We will re visit, one day.

Thank usdewds
