This is by far the best hotel on the Island. 1. Close to Puerto Villamil. 2. Amazing beach front property views. 3. Walking distance to the towns best restaurants and guided tour offices. 4. On-site restaurant. But mostly, the beach front is amazing! Also, the staff works hard to keep all common areas clean and tidy. The breakfast was simple and healthy. If you miss your taxi, don’t freak out, everything is walking distance. WiFi was spotty, but that’s to be expected. It was nice to unplug.

Stayed here for an enjoyable break in February. Hotel is well situated, on the beach and within easy walking distance from the bars/restaurants. Ocean view suite nicely finished, very spacious, kept very clean with good views of the beach. Good size balcony with hammock and sunbed for relaxing. Breakfast was typical buffet but adequate. Staff are friendly and professional. Just one or two odd things: 1. We came back to the hotel about midday on one occassion and asked for some coffee but were told it was finished. Think the right response could have been 'we will make some' 2. They have a bar with a number of spirits displayed on shelves behind. We asked for Gin but they would not serve it despite the the bottle being there. Why show drinks to your guests that you won't let them have ? Maybe a bit nitpicking but just seemed a bit strange. Other than that this is a good hotel and worth staying at if you are on Isabella.…

Casa de Marita was the perfect hotel for our memorable stay in Isabela. We had a beautifully appointed room overlooking the beach and ocean. The grounds and gardens provide a colorful and relaxing setting. Breakfasts are delicious and the restaurant is among the best we encountered in the Galapagos. Hotel staff are very professional and friendly. We highly recommend it!

Don’t come here, it’s the worst dinner service I ever experienced! We came for dinner and once we were seated the waiter said that it would take a bit longer. I assumed the kitchen was busy and do the food would take a bit longer which was ok. We then ordered 2 glasses of red wine and asked the waiter to at least bring those out right away! When I said that, the waiter literally laughed at me, like I am some sort of idiot to ask him to bring out the wine right away. He then walked away and it took literally 45 mins to get our drinks. The waiter just disappeared and didn’t bother to serve any drinks. Several other guests also complained that they got no drinks and waited forever! I had to go to the bar twice to shout at him to finally bring the drinks. He was literally washing dishes in there not bothering to serve the customers. Worst part, my friend got food poisoning from the octopus and on top of that the place forced you to pay a tip. Avoid this place at all costs!…

We stayed here during our island hopping in the Galapagos. Nice room. Great breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed a beautiful Christmas dinner here too. The hotel is right on the beach with everything just a short walk away. The bed was comfortable. There was AC. Overall a great stay.

This hotel is ideal. The location is perfect: at the end of the beach in front of tidal pools with sea lions playing in the waves in the morning. Watch the amazing sun set, eat their delicious home grown food, spend the day on the beach or exploring the island. The staff are all happy and friendly. The owner is on site and could not be more helpful. One of our party was sick and she actually drove him to the clinic, arranged his care, and went to the farmacia; it was like staying with family. We went with friends but there were many families with children having a great time. We will go back to Isabela and to Casa de Marita.

Casa de Marita is a quaint property located right on the beach. We had a ocean front room which was huge and had a balcony. The view was beautiful and you can hear waves crashing non stop. They need more comfy furniture though, the hammock was falling apart & wooden chairs were uncomfortable. Wi-Fi only works in reception, it’s understandable as a small island. We ended up spending more time down there then we’d prefer in order to check mail, etc. Breakfast was mostly buffet, we learned to get there early in order to have enough fruit and egg dishes. The staff were nice and overall a good stay on the beach. Easy few blocks into town.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel! The minute we arrived I told my husband I wish we could extend our stay! Unfortunately, we had only four days at this absolutely beautiful place before we had to return to reality. I couldn't be more pleased with the Hotel La Casa De Marita. We were warmly greeted upon our arrival by Marita and members of her staff with smiles and delicious fruit juice. We stayed in the Mediterraneo Suite. The room was very spacious, super clean and comfortable with a porch overlooking the ocean. Robes, hair dryer, refrig, and fresh drinking water were provided. Beach towels are available at the front desk. The breakfast buffet is superb, and they even gave us boxed breakfasts on the morning we left as we had an early departure. We took advantage of the tapas and drinks special on the patio in the evening; and enjoyed a few afternoon pina coladas, which are to die for! We had dinner there one night, and honestly, I could have eaten there every night it was that good. The service overall was excellent, everyone went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! Marita even snagged us some last-minute tours that were terrific and complete with lunch and taxi service! And the tours! Oh my gosh - but that's for another post. Loved this hotel. Loved our stay and can't wait to return!…

We stayed 3 nights here as part of a group and really enjoyed our time. The room was very spacious and the views were incredible. The breakfast each morning was nice and we really liked spending time on our patio off the room. Would recommend again for sure.

We arrived to Isabella after a rough boat trip and exhausting day. What are your basic expectations? To have a good shower and descent bed. So.... No and no. Today was our second day. The water can be warm, but never got. Today we had cold shower, giving up waiting for the water to heat as they promised us. Decent bed? There are beds in our rooms covers with sheets but no clean blankets to help warm up in the chilly nights. The blankets in the rooms are old and smelly and must kept away. Breakfast was ok. The location is very good and the view is fantastic. It is our third hotel in Galapagos. In terms of value for money this is the lowest class.
