Our super friendly comfort Hotel Volcano is only 1 block away from the beautiful, pristine waters of the Puerto Villamil beach, on Isabela Island. At the beginning of 2016 we found this hidden gem of a property, fell in love with it and gave it a complete facelift. It now offers 10 modern, cozy rooms with lovely ocean views and only minutes away from the center of town.

Detailed Reviews
This hotel is in a dream location, steps from the beach and just a few blocks from town. Our room was spacious and clean, with a big bath room. It was great to have a laundry line in the bathroom, since we had wet bathing suits every day of our stay. The air conditioning worked great, the wifi only worked in the public areas.
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We were welcomed with juice and chilled towels.
Our room was on the back side of the hotel, and if I was rebooking I would absolutely book one of the ocean facing rooms.

Was put in room 303 on the top floor- what a view! No elevator tho. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly and accommodating.
The common area on the 2nd floor was nice and the breakfast area on the main floor was also good. Breakfast was great- included pancakes, eggs, fruit, toast, and strawberry juice.
Not really 'beachfront' as there's another row of buildings on the beach but the lot directly across from the hotel is empty so you still have a nice view.
Quiet street. Close to the main square with shops and restaurants, as well as a lagoon where you may get to see flamingos.

Room: 3rd floor. Huge. Great views of the ocean. Quiet. Could not have been better.
Location: Across from the prettiest part of the beach. 2 - 5 minutes walk from all the restaurants, but far enough away not to be loud.
The hotel staff at Volcano Hotel are out of this world. When we needed to leave early in the morning for a tour, the hotel staff came in earlier to start breakfast, which was excellent every day, so we could eat before we left.
One day, we misplaced our camera. As this was near the end of our trip, we were freaking out. When we told the receptionist, she called all the tour operators we had used and found out that one had found our camera. Then, she rode her bike to their office, picked up the camera, and brought it back.
Even without the high level of service, the days we spent at Volcano Hotel would have been the best of our trip to Ecuador. However, thanks to the attentiveness of the hotel staff, this trip was quite possibly the best vacation of our lives.
Thank you Elizabeth!

We stayed here for 2 nights during our visit to Isabella Island and loved it! Large, clean, beautiful room with an ocean view. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and gave us juice on arrival. The included breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated how they were willing to accomodate us a bit earlier so that we could eat a full meal before our early morning volcano hike.

Only a few steps to the marvelous beach as well as to the restaurants down town. No luxury class hotel but nice and clean. Good breakfast and most importantly very friendly and caring staff. Good starting point for a number of activities (wall of tears, pozas, beach walk, may be 20 minutes walk to Concha de Perla (Snorcheling) and many more.

I was accidentally routed to the wrong Galapagos island online and booked a room at the Volcano Hotel. I immediately, within a minute tried to reverse the transaction. Problem is, no one there answers any correspondence. If this is an example of their service I'm glad I'm not going. If you have any concern about booking a hotel look elsewhere, they charged me the full amopunt and wont even make an exception, they wont even respond to me

Stayed 1 night here. The room was clean and spacious. The location was great as it is within walking distance to restaurants, etc. Service was good and so was the breakfast. Had quality sleep here as it was pretty quiet.

What a hotel!! Itās quite nice for the Galapagos and the service was incredible. Sofia was very kind and did a great job at communicating and taking care of any of our needs. The view from our room was breathtaking. There was also breakfast every morning, which was nice to have.

Really spacious and nice hotel looking at the ocean. We were perfectly welcomed by Estalin at the reception, eager to help us with any need or curiosity, and with his great spirit, definitely our man on the island! It was also the best breakfast and best bed we had during our travel. Also all the other members of the staff were nice and helping, and having the possibility (we went there on low season) they even allow us a late check out. Much appreciated.

Very Poor design in this hotel. The sound of three people, talking and laughing in the lobby, 2 floors below my room, carry up the circular stairs and down the hallway, and sound as if a large party is happening in an echo chamber beneath my room. We have 3 nights booked and Iām not looking forward to the next two. Would not recommend this hotel if you want to relax when you return to your room.
