Our travel group stayed here for 2 nights. This places location is amazing close to the beach, right across the street from a lagoon with flamingos, and close to lots of great restaurants. My spouse and I stayed in room 10 which is right of the pool from the front office and left of the pool shower. The room has 2 full beds with a couch, desk, and a window that faces a wall. The key they give you is a wooden rectangle Keychain with a penguin graved in. The Air-conditioned worked great kept the room nice and cool. The room was clean overall just needs a little deep cleaning on the couch and curtains. The bathroom was big nice shower area. I was able to have a nice hot shower but it did take a few mins to get hot. The bathroom does have a bar of soap and a pump i think soap shampoo in the shower area. No hair dryer in room. many of the towels had orange spots which they said was from towel holder so just be aware. The pool was nice and warm and wifi worked ok in this area. Did not work well in the bedroom which is OK nice to disconnect. They do have 3 hot tubs upstairs but you must let them know 30 mins beforehand so they can put water and run them but none of use in our group used them. Warning every morning starting around 4 am then nonstop at 5am roosters would crow many of us could not sleep after 5am from the roosters. Just a fair warning. Beer and water are available for purchase from the lobby $3 for small beer $5 for big bottle beer and $1.25 for bottle of water but they did run out. down the street on the left beer was cheaper so we go buy there. Also past that store on the left there is an amazing empanda stand that sells the best for only a $1.50 each doesn't open til after 4pm. Located right on the beach. breakfast here was amazing located upstairs included eggs: (boiled or scrambled) cheese, meat, toast, bread, banana, fruits, fresh juice, coffee, tea, milk, and yogurt. I would definitely stay here again location fabulous, service and staff wonderful.…
This hotel is across the street from a lagoon that has a couple pink flamingos greeting you each morning. Front rooms have balconies with scenic views. Rooms are decent size and beds are comfortable. There's also a nice rooftop balcony and jacuzzi. Excellent location, on side street but within a few blocks walk to an amazing beach and to the restaurant area. All the staff is super helpful.
Lovely hotel. Bright airy room with views to the ocean and to the lagoon, where there were almost always pink flamingos. Everything was super clean, modern and comfortable. A little balcony with two chairs overlooking the lagoon, remote-operated blinds, sliding glass doors, air conditioning, drinkable chilled water easily available at the bottom of the stairs. No fridge in room. Small refreshing pool outside, and cool spa tubs on the covered roof. Staff were helpful and friendly and had good English. They were also tour agents for Isabela tours. (We did the kayaking tour to Tintoreras, which was lovely). They also offered rentals for snorkelling gear and Go-Pro cameras. Included breakfast was big (juice, refillable coffee, yogurt, granola, eggs (your choice of scrambled or fried), cheese, meat, basket of different breads and buns with option to use the toaster) - you ate overlooking the pink flamingos :) You could walk to the (beautiful) main beach with little restaurants and bars in under 5 minutes. Walk to the tortoise breeding centre (amazing) and bigger flamingo lagoons in about 20 minutes. Wall of Tears (see tortoises in the wild on the way) is about 5 km from hotel. I would go back to this hotel (and Isabela, which is a gem of natural beauty and wildlife) in a heartbeat.…
Pro: - Free transfer from port to hotel and back - Extremely good service (we booked the tours also from the company group and Giancarlo from reception reminded us all the details and updates in person and answered all our questions with patience) - The breakfast buffet was so nice even under the current Covid conditions Cons: - n.a. Thank you again for your spirit and passion Giancarlo!!!
The location is right in front of a lagoon where you can see flamingos all the time. The staffs (all 3 of them I have personally interacted with) are welcoming, nice and accommodating. We booked 2 rooms, both are very spacious. It's interesting that one room has better internet connection than the other. It's super easy to book any tours with the front desk, tours' qualities are fabulous and the prices are unbeatable. It'd benefit hotel patrons a lot if a bigger water pitcher can be provided, which can save me a lot of trips to get the fresh water.
La Laguna was a great hotel. The room was large and modern. The bed was a large king and very comfortable (an important criteria for me). Shower was large . Hot water was readily available although not instantly. We had a large balcony overlooking the laguna. My phone had a problem with the wifi in the room but did fine in the lobby. My husband's phone did fine in the room with the wifi. Breakfast was included and consisted of fruit/yogurt / breads and eggs made to order all served by an attentive staff. The service provided stands out the most. The staff reached out to me a few days before my arrival to find out when and which ferry we were arriving on. A staff member not only met our ferry and transported us back to the hotel but checked us in and hauled our luggage to the third floor. The next morning a staff member came to our door to notify us when our tour arrived. For our departure the front office staff arranged a shuttle to take us to the port at 530 am. We stayed for three nights and would certainly have enjoyed staying longer…
I've travelled the world and rarely ever review places, but the staff here were so exceptional. My sister and I stayed here on our 16 day Galapagos adventure and were so impressed with the staff, particularly Giancarlo. He went above and beyond to make our stay extraordinary. He arranged all our transport and activities and was so kind, friendly, and helpful providing 5 star service.
Modern rooms and great breakfast! Friendly staff! Conveniently located...There's an ATM around the corner too...There's also a restaurant right down the street from the hotel but I can't find it on Trip Advisor...It's called "The Beach" and it had a beautiful view and great food and wine...
We enjoyed our stay La Laguna on Isabela. The staff was friendly, helpful, and when we had to make a few changes to our itinerary, they quickly stepped in and helped us work out the details. We would stay here again.
Considering you are at the ends of the earth, this is a beyond luxurious place to stay! Wifi, AC, comfortable beds, balconies with amazing views, and a lovely restaurant with the most delightful chef! Seriously, our chef was so very wonderful and accomodating and made delicious food for every meal we ate there. La Laguna is fantastic - highly recommend!
