Everything was just as we expected, the rooms were beautiful, the estate is beautifully kept. Breakfast on the veranda was perfect . One of the best breakfasts we had in France, the service was excellent we felt spoilt by the attention. We had a day by the pool as chill time , which was perfect. A tour of the nearby...

Of our many trips to France, not only was Bordeaux one of our best all round travel experiences, but our stay at Chateau Lamothe was a slice of heaven and a sanctuary at the end of every day. We spent 4 nights here in the Prince Noir suite on the second floor up a beautiful stair case. No worries with...

You approach the Chateau along a tree lined private drive and the magificent building appears in front of you, circled by a moat compete with swans. A magical start to a perfect stay. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our lovely suite with views over the terrace and parkland. An elegant and comfortable suite with everything we...

This was unanimously the favorite with our group among several lovely hotels that we visited. The chateau was fairy tale perfect inside and out. The rooms were very large and beautifully decorated, and the large bathrooms had modern features. A delicious breakfast was offered, and staff was very helpful. We all want to return for a much more extended stay....

The chateau is gorgeous as is Carla the owner. The decor is amazing and comfortable all at once. Our beds were heavenly after touring Bordeaux region and tasting wines. The property is so beautiful with the flowers, expansive lawn, swimming pool, the pair of white and pair of black swans paddling around the surrounding mote. We were served a lovely...

The Chateau Lamonthe was perfect. It is a charming place. The rooms are beautiful, clean and well appointed. The location was great for visiting the wine country of the Bordeaux region. Carla was a gracious hostess and her input was so helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

This "petite chateau" is a WONDERFUL place to visit and unwind. It is picturesque, gorgeous and it's like something out of a fairy-tale. The decorations throughout are well thought of and try to maintain the warmth and antique feel that you expect when visiting such a place, but do not take me wrong, everything is very comfortable and extremely inviting....

We stayed here for only 2 nights unfortunately - we would have loved more time to enjoy the unique experience of staying in a chateau of this quality. This is a truly beautiful place set in picturesque, expansive grounds which add to the whole historical feel of the place. We were on the top floor which we are told were originally...

This was my third stay at the chateau. It's just so lovely. In the fall, the weather is too cool for swimming in the pool, so you just have to relax and enjoy the chateau itself, and there is much to enjoy. Be sure to stay more than one night. 2, at a minimum. It takes more than a day...

This chateau was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip through the France/Italy/Switzerland. Carla was a wonderful host; the property is rural, filled with beauty and relaxation is easy to find. We found comfort at every turn !
