Stayed here from Friday the 13th January to Monday the 16th January on a three night stay. From the minute of arriving we was welcomed straight away and showed up to our room which was called the Derwent Room. The room was immaculate and brand new over looking the valley a spectacular view. We booked this just for a weekend...

We stayed here last night, we were at a wedding at Derwent Manor, the rooms are stunning, food amazing and the staff are lovely, not too expensive and well worth it. I just wish we spent more time there. Thanks Anchor Inn

Not been for a while but will be going back soon. The menu is quite extensive. The haddock and chips are delicious. Fish is huge and very tasty but even though it was crispy it could have done with a little longer to drain as there was quite a lot of grease on the plate. Service very efficient.

We called here for lunch. I had Welsh rarebit, which was delicious, rich and satisfying. My husband had a bacon and mushroom hot stottie, which was disappointing. First of all, the bread seemed to be ciabatta rather than stottie and it was very dry. The chips that came with it were pale and didn't taste great. The food took quite...

Stayed with my sister in castles room, lovely and clean, cosy and quiet. We had dinner here both nights and it was very good, even catering for vegans with no problems. Loved the area and this was a great place to stay whilst we explored, thanks

We arrived late but the kitchen was still open so we were able to eat a delicious meal. The next morning the breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. A great start to the day. The atmosphere...

A very welcoming and pleasant hotel with very comfortable rooms and amenities. The owners were very friendly and engaging and the bar staff in particular were very accommodating of our large group. This accommodation was recommended to us and we were very glad to stop over in this idyllic spot. The breakfasts were hearty and tasty too.

Had a really relaxing two night stay.Really friendly hotel/pub with great service. Supper was excellent and a choice to suit all. Breakfast really set us up for the day ahead. Rooms really comfortable, spotless and great views over countryside. Ask in the bar for taxis if required as really great local firm available.
