Excellent Hotel. The wifi should be upgraded to have access in the rooms. It's only available in the outdoor seating area, at the two tables closest to the parking lot. Otherwise, Excellent. The Best Hotel in Ocotal.

Taking into consideration the area. ... this is the best hotel in town. It's clean, staff are really nice. They have a clean pool. Good breakfast, but I think it should be included. I would say that it is the best option in Ocotal.

My group was traveling from Honduras and we called this hotel to ask if they had availability and they did. We asked what was included and the gentleman said that breakfast was included. My entire group heard the man say this. The next morning when my group sat to eat, they denied that it was included and wouldn't serve us...

Very good hospitality-as always in this lovely country. Coffee was set up early each morning by poolside and was delicious. Breakfast each morning was very good, as well. Very good value overall. No need to set the alarm in the morning as the neighborhood roosters take care of that;) Rooms were clean and I found the bed to be comfortable....

We were directed to the Frontera by our guidebook as "Ocotal's finest." The guidebook noted "pleasant airy porches overlooking the city and mountains." Well, sort of. It's probably the best hotel in town. It's certainly priced in line with American motels instead of Nicaraguan hotels. What it gets you is also in line with an average American motel: A small...

Given the part of the world where this is located, I am happy to say that a clean room, with some amenities, clean bathroom, hot water, and a safe place to park my car were the key features of this hotel. The service was good. There was a blackout in them middle of the night and the generator quickly started...

Decided to lay over for a day before crossing the border into Honduras. This hotel has a good looking appearance on the outside, but that is where it ends. While clean, the rooms are worn out and in need of new furniture. That was okay with me but the walls are so paper thin that one can hear everything. The...

Although currently undergoing massive remodeling, the staff at Frontera are terrific, the location is extremely convenient for travelers headed toward the border, and the prices are amazing. Not long on amenities in the rooms, the property does offer a restaurant, bar, and pool, along with a strong security presence.

It's not the best hotel, at least for sleep not! The room were clean, but my bed was like a rock... I don't recommend this hotel, it doesn't even have connector to charge your cell phone or anything. You should look for another hotel if you want to sleep better at ocotal, Nicaragua.
