The food was amazing, and let's not forget where it is situated. The hot water was hot and the pressure was good. We take it for granted, but it is like a piece of heaven when you get off that mountain and the shower does that. The rooms need some TLC, but they are OK, clean and the owner really...

It's a great place. We stopped here prior to our climb and also after the long trek out. Hot water, comfy beds, great food and beer. What more could you ask for ? A perfect base when visiting the Aconcagua National Park.

Stayed before and after Aconcagua. You can't judge a book by its cover. From the moment I stepped inside I felt the warmth and welcome of this place. I felt comfortable and relaxed, rooms are clean and warm, the shower is hot, the staff are friendly and happy and the food is the bestest. Nothing was a hassle, life was...

We were there the night before starting our climb of Aconcagua. The accommodations are spartan but clean. The wind constantly blows through the valley and the hotel is not well sealed so there is a lot of noise at night. That said the staff are very friendly. We had breakfast and dinner both of which were very good. They also...

Stayed here on route to Aconcagua. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant has good food and a bar. The staff were really great. Ask for Steve (the English guy) who really helped me out when I was there. Don't expect 5 stars, but do expect a charming Hotel with good character, excellent service, good amenities and good value.

Best place for the money!! Great guy owner named Steve! The steak dinner was very good and the accommodations were comfortable. I enjoyed the nice comfortable room with good hot water and great beds as well as accommodating staff.

The place felt more like a friends house than a hotel. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.Clean excellent food and reasonable priced. The trifecta. By far my favorite hotel in Argentina. Would make a special trip just to stay there again. Could not recommend it more. Erik Bjarnason

I've never felt more at home and relaxed than I did at Ayelen. This family runned hotel welcomed us from day 1 of our arrival and gave us an even warmer welcome at the return leg of our Aconcagua trip. I couldn't wait to get off the mountain and try their Salmon! This place feels personal like you're amongst friends...

On December 28, I came down from Plaza of Mulas, Aconcagua where my summit attempt was thwarted by a turbulent weather. I was trying to catch a bus to Santiago from Los Penitentes. Hotel Ayelen hotel gave me information about transportation and made a reservation at my request. The bus which was supposed to stop by during 11:30-12:00 did not...
