Stayed locally for 2 nights and came here for evening meal on both nights . The game/ steak pie are amazing and the staff are welcoming, friendly and attentive. The pub allows dogs which I feel gets people talking to each other and the pub also provides dog treats!! Will definatley return

Great atmosphere with a mix of friendly locals, B+B guests, passing walkers etc. Excellent selection of beers to cover all tastes. Welcoming landlord and staff. Food excellent, including full options for breakfast, and reasonably priced for good sized portions welcome after a day out...

Have visited The Blue Bell before when in the area and always found the food fantastic and the ambiance very relaxed and chilled. However on visiting this weekend for Sunday Lunch we ordered a drink and sat down in the bar area, unfortunately we had to move in the end due to what I presume is a local regular shouting...

Booked for lunch to find pub opened late and an arsy post-adolescent in charge of the bar (surely not the new landlord? though I am getting old...). The place was pretty cold with fire lit just as we entered. The said arsy youth offered by way of explanation that they were 'Behind schedule'; I took this to mean that he...

Good range of decent local real ales and cider. The new landlord who's just moved back into the area was friendly and gave us several pointers for local attractions. He is looking to improve the menu, so we are hoping to eat here soon!
