Had a great meal here met some loverly guests that were staying the night. Food was brilliant. Very nice gentleman looking after us. Loads to look at and talk about. Massive open fire which was perfect for a cold winters evening. Highly recommended if you are passing and fancy something different.

Guy, who is the proprietor, is a wonderful man. The building is 400 years old and was owned by Louis 14th who gave it to one of his mistresses. As soon as you enter, you walk into a bygone age, steeped in history and antiquities. At every turn you encounter artefacts that amaze and excite the senses. Guy has owned...

The reception, dining rooms and bedrooms were all large and furnished with grand and gloomy furniture and the dining rooms were particularly fascinating. Dinner was fine (not wonderful) and each table had candelabras and silver ornaments and chargers for the plates. Breakfast...

The hotel is beautifully old fashioned. Our room was nice and spacious. The bathroom needs a renovation. All in all worth the price and much more charme than ibis hotels. I had the menue violet for dinner. And spent almost the complete night on the toilet. Whether it were the lamb chops or the pate, something went really wrong in...

This review is for the restaurant and not the hotel accommodation. We (my wife and I) went for lunch. The immediate impression from the outside was of a once fairly grand place which is now a bit down on it's heels. The dining room looked olde-worlde and must have seen some grand functions. Solid furniture, properly upholstered carver chairs, etc....
