We had a family reunion at this resort Summer'22 . This resort is exceptional, with beautiful views of the mountains from the room/ terrace. Local attractions like Kasar Devi temple is a short walk away, and many other attractions within an 1-2 hour drive. The food at the resort was delicious and the service was great. Definitely an A+ experience.

Mohan’s is a landmark in the area. The lovely cafe is located on the road leading from Almora to Binsar. Smell of freshly brewed coffee and fresh bakes greets you as you enter the reception area. The views of the valley are breathtaking. We were a family accompanied by elderly folks, so we stayed in the family room located above the cafe itself. This was convenient as there was minimal steps involved. The retreat has cottages built in steps which are perfect for couples and small family’s . These are pristine and lovely. Mohans is famous for its Cafe too which serves, Indian, conti and Israeli delicacies . For most of my stay my sister and I found ourselves perched in the cafe overlooking the gorgeous valley, sipping coffee, with freshly baked almond cake to satiate us. There are quite a few flowering and fruiting trees on the property which make it a haven for birds. The property is situated just about a km from the KasarDevi temple which is a must visit when you are in the area. Mohan ji also organised a naturalist to take us to the Binsar sanctuary. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Overall the food, ambiance, the prompt service and Mohan ji’s personal involvement makes a world of difference. Highly recommended if you visit Almora-Binsar area

Had stayed at Mohan’s Retreat for 4 days with my family, and can’t wait to recommend it to my friends and those who are seeking solitude in mountains with the perfect location, finger-licking food and helpful and friendly staff to guide you. If you wish to work from there, the place has a strong wifi, and good amenities.

Room Tip: The Binsar-Almora road is quite bumpy due to the repair work. So, be prepared!

We, family of 2 adults and 2 children (age 12 and 8 years) stayed in the hotel for 3 days and opted for Trishul room - room just above the reception. It had 2 rooms with 2 double beds and 2 washrooms perfect for our family size. Location of the hotel is their USP. Nice views from the terrace which is adjacent to our room and there is some construction going on for expansion of the hotel. But the work never disturbed us. Mr. Dinesh served us all the meals with lot of love and affection. Great grilled sandwiches for breakfast. Cut fruits with honey etc. All so yummy. Dinner ambience gets very cozy and one gets a feel of candle light dinner. Must try their ginger lemon honey tea while looking at outside hill views. Mr.Krishna at the reception was very helpful. Had a great time

Review is just for the restraunt. It takes forever (more than 15 mins) to place your order. Water you receive post 20 mins of waiting what you get is water with mosquito. No order is delivered for next 40 mins / and once you complain to the owner - his explanation/ he has his rooms to serve as well. ; and wanted us to move on. P.S: We were family with kids 6 years and 12 years; and elders of 82 years olds

The property is made at a perfect spot from where you can see the beautiful view of the valley and mountains. The staff at the hotel is really nice and helpful and well-mannered and attentive to the needs of the customer. The food at the hotel is too good. The chef at the hotel makes food with lots of love and dedication which can be tasted through the food. The service is also very fast which is a plus point. Lastly, the rooms have a beautiful view of the mountains and valley. The rooms are big and spacious. I would love to stay here again on my next visit.

One of the best resort I have visited till now. Everyone here really helpful and friendly. Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. From the balcony, we could view the clear mountains and a piece full fresh environment. The location of our room was absolutely perfect. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerizing. I must say the location of the resort is at best place of Almora. Our stay at the Mohans Retreat Resort was just for one day one night. All staff made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable.Excellent hospitality and specially their food was awesome they have great chef who knows everything about the food.Thank you so much team Mohans.
