Had a 1 nighter here at the end of our great ocean road trip. Lovely host, very clean house and really comfortable bed, slept exceptionally well. Whilst our facilities weren't ensuite, they were just around the corner and solely for our use, so it wasn't any issue at all. Breakfast the next day was lovely, lots on offer, so with...

This was our first B & B experience and any we do in the future will need to be VERY VERY good to beat this one. Karen and John welcome you like friends and provide a stunning renovated old farmhouse to stay in. Set back from the road so noise is minimal. Magnificent breakfast cooked by Karen. Dinner is a...

I cannot recommend this property highly enough! Karen and her husband welcomed our group of four with open arms! I stayed in Suite One (a queen bed, a single bed, and a pull out couch) with three friends. The suite includes free wifi and a refrigerator, and was decorated in the most charming way! In the morning, Karen made us...

We stayed a night at this location during a recent tour of the Great Ocean Road. The property was clean and well maintained. Our host were friendly and very helpful. Our room had a bathroom down the hallway. One suggestion would be to provide robes so that one does not have to dress in the middle of the night if...

Butterfly Farm Bed and Breakfast is 20 minutes drive from Port Campbell. Karen and John have renovated the beautiful farmhouse, making it a cosy and romantic retreat. Everything’s exactly the same as shown on their website. My husband and I felt totally relaxed after a long drive and we both enjoyed the delicious breakfast made by Karen. Highly recommended.

The Butterfly Farm is a very quaint B & B and not to be missed. Karen and Ian were very warm and friendly hosts offering great information about the area. They definitely made you feel very welcomed too. We called Karen to let her know we were going to be late, but she said not to worry. When we finally...

This country-style B&B is absolutely lovely! The owners Karen and John are very welcoming, helpful and friendly :-) They will provide you printed information about the sights to see in the Great Ocean Road. The continental breakfast cooked by Karen was fantastic (Eggs, sausages, cereals, toast, fruits, yogurt, tea, coffee, etc). Comfy bed, peaceful private patio with wonderful garden views...

Karen and John, the owners ,want you to enjoy your stay in their home. It isn't difficult to do as they appear to have thought of everything you need before you have. Although Nirranda isn't a major resort on the Ocean Road it's well worth staying here for the level of comfort it provides.Had we had time we would have extended...

After a long drive from the Melbourne Airport in the dark, we were so happy to see the lights of the Butterfly Farm! Karen warmly welcomed us into our beautiful large room, which included a bedroom, bathroom, and sitting area. It worked out great for us because we were 3 friends traveling together, and the room accommodated us nicely. The...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Butterfly Farm is a restful haven for holidaymakers, or a cosy romantic retreat. Close to Shipwreck Coast and the Great Ocean Road attractions, including Childers Cove, the 12 Apostles, Bay of Islands, Peterborough, Port Campbell, Timboon Farmhouse Cheeses, the Otway Fly Tree Top Walk, Whale Watching and within easy driving distance to Port Fairy and Warrnambool. What began as a humble farmhouse is now a delightful homestead, full of character. Butterfly Farm has been a labour of love for us and you will enjoy your stay with us as much as we do at Butterfly Farm. Singles, couples, families and small groups are welcome. Verandahs surround Butterfly Farm and these are always a feature of Australian homes for just sitting, relaxing and watching the day go by. Delicious country style breakfast is included in the tariff and is served in a redgum kitchen looking across the garden from a bay window. Tea & coffee facilities together with orange juice and homemade cookies are provided. Butterfly Farm has 2 B&B areas and can sleep up to a total of 7 persons. B&B 1 offers privacy and a cosy retreat full of character. It has its own entrance, private lounge room, en-suite and the bedroom has a QS 4 poster bed and a single bed. There is also a leather fold out couch, the size of a double bed with an inner spring mattress, in the lounge room and there are large double doors that can separate the lounge room from the bedroom. This area can sleep up to 5 persons. B&B 2 offers space and the comforts of home. It has a QS bed and the bedroom has french doors onto a private veranda. It has a foyer, private bathroom and adjacent lounge room with an entertainment system. Can sleep up to 2 persons. ... more   less
