We have stayed for a week or so with our 2 boys at the Mt Huia cottage for the last seven or eight years. They are now teenagers and still love to return to the farm each year. Neil and Virginia have always been fantastic hosts. For us the best part has been that we are reasonably hands on and...

What a terrific visit! The tour of the farm on the back of Neil's ATV brought us close up to the sheep and cattle, and to views of the gorgeous landscape from the tops of the hills. We also saw how their dogs rounded up the sheep. Dinner with Virginia and Neil was delicious and prompted interesting conversation and insight...

We had a one-night stay at the farm but arrived late in the evening due to the activity that day so we missed the original farm tour. Nonetheless, Neil & Virginia were so accommodating and offered to give us a farm tour the next morning at their other farm so we didn’t miss out on the whole experience. Neil went...

Neal took the time from the farm to take us on an extensive farm tour- as we also live on a farm- we exchanged lots of comparable problems we all have...

The lodge was clean and comfortable. Virginia cooked us a wonderful dinner and was patient with our kids. The only regret was, we spent only one night...

10 of us (6 brothers and sisters, plus 4 spouses) spent 3 nights here, doing Weka Walks by day. Six stayed in Hodd Cottage, and two couples in the Homestead. The facilities are well set up for people who want clean, homely, functional amenities, in a lovely setting. We had the fully-catered food option, and the volume and quality of...
