We were travelling north on A697 and called in for lunch. Many people had the same idea just before we arrived. The restaurant is welcoming, the busy staff never let us feel ignored even though we had to wait for the other customers to be served. The menu was extensive, well priced and the food was excellent. The Black Sheep...

My Wife and I spent three nights here over Easter and couldn't recommend more highly. Lovely clean, comfortable room. Home made biscuits by kettle was a nice touch. En suite had a huge shower with lashings of hot water. The breakfast was superb, all good quality ingredients, you can't beat a good sausage and the local Kippers, first class. We...

Stayed on the 13th and 14th April for a well earned break. Welcome and hospitality warm and genuine. Selection of real ales for me and a menu that even my 'fussy' better half found varied made it even more relaxing , looking forward to my Northumberland return, thank you

Sadly, we only stayed one night due to matters beyond our control. Breakfast was as expected - nothing out of the ordinary. We were on a groupon rm 6 ... lovely bathroom, hot room, iffy mattress - bumpy, sloping and tired furniture. The food looked good in the restaurant and judging by the nos eating, I.m guessing the place has...

Having received a text from my son to say if I fancied a run out, they had visited the Anglers Arms the previous lunch time and it was well worth a visit. My partner and I had a 45 min drive out and I can honestly say it was well worth it. We could not fault anything. The service was...

We have eaten at the Anglers over 20 times, we have sampled most of the menu from steak, ham hock, down to the veggie selection, and have always had a superb meal in a fantastic ambient setting.. The staff are always friendly and the pub extremely clean and cosy.. great place to visit.. Michael

Popped in on the way to Rothbury and were welcomed and seated straight away despite not having a booking. Sunday Lunch was great with plenty of meat and vegetables with extra gravy. Desserts were also good with the STP and Ginger Sponge and custard hitting the spot. Would definitely return.
