This is a good basic place to stay - no frills and ok except for the shower - we couldn't get it to run warm and gave up trying to have one. However the breakfast was really good only marred by having to make your own instant coffee.

Family of four out on a drive in the country and we stumbled passed this pub, so very friendly even the locals were chatting to us. The food was absolutely beautiful and excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

On my first visit, I made the mistake of ordering the the chicken liver pate. It was really delicious, the portion was huge, and I ate it all. Well, two of us ate it all - it was fine for two, but I was quite filled. I hadn't been prepared for the possible size of the carvery (it's serve yourself)....

The Sunday carvary is really nice , two courses for £11.95 . I decided on a main and dessert . There is a good choice of beef, lamb or pork . The vegetables and potatoes are self serve . I opted for beef which was lovely and tender , the Yorkshire puddings were homemade . Lots of vegetables roast potatoes,...

Driving past and saw this inn so decided to stop for a bite to eat. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was prepared freshly and very good. Would definitely call again when we are back in this area.

Went here for lunch and found the place to be very nice indeed. The barman was very welcoming and the pub had a nice atmosphere despite being fairly quiet. The menu has some good selections and there are specials too. We skipped starters and went straight to the mains. Our selections of steak and ale pie and a tasty and...
