Stayed with a few friends whilst heading east along with the wall on a walking trip. Such a friendly welcome, lovely hosts, very comfortable overnight stay in their home. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

I found this property difficult to locate, approaching from the west after a long walk along the Wall and an afternoon of penetrating rain - my only rain in 3 weeks of walking! Fortunately, a local dog walker was able to guide me in the right direction. Even then, it was a bit hidden at the far end of a...

The B&B was easy to find from this direction as 1st road to the left in Heddon - last house on cul-de-sac. Would be hard to find other way as other roads have the same name and is last road on right as leaving village. Great welcome, cup of tea and biscuit. Room and ensuite very nice and big comfy...

I stayed here with 3 friends on the first night of our Hadrian's Wall walk. A very welcoming couple and an exceptionally well maintained house. There is a pub (The Swan) in easy walking distance (there is a hill to walk up but if you find that difficult then maybe you shouldn't be walking the wall) which serves food and...

We stayed at Heddon Lodge for one night at the beginning of our Hadrian's Wall walk. We'd tramped 15 miles from Newcastle and were ready for a rest. I hadn't done any research of the accommodation, just pulled it out of an old edition Hadrian's Wall Trailblazers book. How lucky were we. I was expecting an old place with the...

We stayed at the Heddon Lodge while we were "doing the wall" at the beginning of August. It wasn't too difficult to find though it is just off the Hadrian's Wall path, in a cul de sac road, so that one is not quite sure one has the right address. All uncertainties are quickly laid to rest by Jacqueline's warm...

Excellent stop for those walking the Hadrian's Wall Path. Jackie and Kevin are friendly hosts and genuinely nice people. When you are with them, all is centered on making sure that you are well taken care of. Kevin drove us to the pub for dinner on a rainy evening, and Jackie pointed out the high quality of the locally smoked...

Literally along the Hadrian's Wall path, Heddon Lodge is a small oasis. Nicely decorated with ample rooms and beautiful views, Jacquie's spot is ideally suited for wall walker's. She was very helpful to our group with suggestions for dining both locally and in Newcastle. Nicely prepared if somewhat small breakfast options.

The hospitality at this place is superb. The stay was relaxing and restful. Jacquie is a wonderful host being both attentive of your needs and respectful of your privacy. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This B&B is conveniently located in the Hadrian Wall Path, though you need to be careful not to miss the turn into the development where the property is. The hosts are very accommodating, the rooms are small, but nice and you do get a very nice sleep. The views from the house are amazing and you get to see them...
