We stayed at bam tara hotel for 2nights at tarapith. Location of the hotel is just 3mins walking from mandir and the best part of the hotel is the lovely behaviour of all the staff specially Mr Subhashis Mitra and Subho. We got everything we asked for in a moments time in our room service. If you are visiting tarapith u shld definitely stay here. Cottage rooms were also good. Cant expect more at this price and at tarapith. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful.

The hotel is located near the Bridge Bus Stand - its just a 2 mins walk from there. Its' almost in the market place, but away from the hullabaloo which makes the stay peaceful. Also because of its location one doesn't have to worry about eateries, etc. And, to reach the temple one needs a 5-6 mins walk from the hotel. We opted for a non-ac 3 bedded deluxe room and booked in advance. The room was spacious and tidy but we found the blanket covers dirty which were replaced on request. The hotel charged extra Rs100 per day for geyser. The non-ac rooms are in a building which has no lift. But ac rooms are located in a separate building which has lift. There are cottages in the backside amidst a garden (not well maintained) which one can give a try. Considering the place to be a temple town, the hotel is better than most lodges or lodges-guised-as-hotels in the surrounding area, considering the amenities provided, cleanliness and security. There are better hotels than this of course but those are much away from this location and the temple. Also, in case you happen to reach the hotel sans prior booking, bargain the tariff offered. You might get lower rates! And finally, speaking of the staff here, though they were quite friendly, they are expected to be more professional. On our stay's second day, I had to witness a very unmannerly, filthy argument of the receptionist with the newspaper delivery man, at the top of his voice. Not at all expected. Anyway, we had a nice stay overall and would like to stay again.

It is review of my wife who went to Tarapith with her office collegues for 2D n 1N however I have booked the hotel prior by calling directly to the hotel reception. I have booked this hotel as going by the review out here however there was a sheer dissapointment while just entering the room as the bedsheet was very dirty and seemed it was not changed..the hotel staff were also casual and on several request it was changed..the attitude of the staff was also very rude..choose other hotels rather regretting after booking..the hotel is very near to the temple..that is only positive out here...

Comparatively nice hotel in Tarapith town. Rooms are ok with a balcony. I have opted for non AC deluxe room. They will charge you separately Rs.100 per day for geyser. But the worse thing is that the switch of the geyser is in the reception. You have to call them to put it on but they are not available if you call them in early morning. Since we opted to visit the temple around 5 am, I have to walk to the reception to tell them to put the geyser on. Food is good but everything written on the menu is not available. Best thing about the hotel is that it is very close to the Tara Ma Temple. Since I knew that Tarapith is a small and crowded town with full of average hotels and lodges, I didn't expect much. This made me satisfied with this hotel. Hotel booking can be done by contacting the hotel. It has its own website. Jai Ma Tara

Went with my full family & took a family suit. The suit had 2 rooms with a dining room(with and additional cot) & 2 bathrooms. The rooms were pretty clean & well maintained. The best part is this one is closest to the Temple. Trust me when I say this, as I visit tarapith twice every year for last 15 yrs. The food quality is very good too. I'm surely staying there itself when I visit next time. Hope they maintain the cleanliness & quality of food!!

The bamtara hotel is wonderful.the place, cottage, food and also the "kasar thala, bati, glass"are amazing.the staffs are very good in nature and very helpful.we booked the 6 bedded cottage.the indoor and outdoor are looking good and refresh.staffs called us for lunch and dinner through phone.at lunch we took ethnic Bengali foods.they are superb.I advice all of you that if you go to this hotel then plz try ethnic Bengali foods instead of Chinese or something.this place is situated inside the crowded surroundings but in the cottage you do not feel that.it is so smoothing.

This month we(family of five including one child)visited tarapith .....after comparing sonar bangla, meghnath e.t.c I decided to check-in to bam Tara,I don't regret for my decision later because we got a suit with a reasonable rate of 2400/- which is just like a 2bhk unit of apartment and new in condition......LCD TV,intercom, air conditioned, glass dining table, closet, superb quality linens, modern furnishing & many more it has 3 months back we went to Kerala trip, stayed in excellent hotels but in terms of value for money those stands nowhere close to bam Tara,....since 1998 we have visited tarapith 6 times, but this time we discovered the best hotel
