From the moment I picked up the phone to make the booking three days before New year's I knew I was on to a winner. The staff were friendly, warm and considerate and we booked our room without any hassle. The staff even offered to book us a table for evening dinner. For the price we paid for a three...

We had booked our room in August for the weekend before Christmas to see family. We had also booked a family dinner for eight on the Saturday only to discover that our requested room had been given to a member of a shooting party staying there. We were moved to a self contained cottage 100 yards down an unlit country...

I've been coming here for years. Is there a new chef? Chef, loosely termed! I ordered from the specials a pasta dish. This is what I got. I sent it back and to my diabelief my returned dish had the same bit of parsley on it but underneath, fresh bit of watery pasta with the same turned over bland sauce....

Visited this pub on Saturday 10th December, with a coach party and had a fantastic meal. Such a lovely cosy pub, with such friendly, welcoming staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Tables were beautifully laid, with matching tablecloths and napkins, complete with crackers!! The food arrived, piping hot, despite the numbers of people to be served. Well done to all...

Beautifully appointed rooms.Superbly prepared dishes on their menu cooked beautifully at competetive prices.Comfortable restaurant and neat small bars.A perfect English country pubs ambience at the bar. Car parking space always ample. Never disappoints....

The room was amazing. We booked a executive double and got a lovely apartment which was huge. The only niggle was that the shower curtain needs a good clean at the bottom, but other than that, it was immaculate. The bed was big and comfy and the whole apartment was lovely and warm. However if you want an early night...

Lovely room and pub is very nice . Unfortunately the rooms are very very noisy , I had deluxe room and I could hear everything from cars going up drive , to the person next door , the rooms are in a building ( posh shed really ) next to pub . If you stay bring ear plugs , you...

Spent weekend there with friends. It is situated in the countryside with plenty of parking spaces. The room is large and clean , the shower is very good and it's complimentary freebies e.g. shampoos, teas, biscuits etc. wifi is also good. There is also a pub inside the Inn with many decors that you can admire and see. The food...

We went to have dinner and extended family, and the atmosphere was just beautiful. We are not used to having the high level of service in the pubs we have eaten at in the UK, but the Windmill hotel did this very well. The food was very well priced and hearty and well sized. I was very happy and would...
