This is a country pub with some rooms in the main building but also some in an adjacent annex. I heard no noise from the pub and only a...

Arrived New year eve, straight away felt like a lovely place, the fire the banter from staff and people in the bar, easy to park in the free car park..... Our room was a family room (no 6) which was upstairs and it was lovely, tea and coffee biscuits available and the bed was very comfortable. Our meal in the...

Pub is ok with a smattering of local folk sitting in their usual positions at the bar. Pub restaurant was also ok for dinner too. Waitress for breakfast was flustered and it was all a bit too much for her taking the very complicated breakfast order of scrambled eggs and bacon! Bedroom was cold and a bit smelly really and...

Popped in for a quick lunch when in the area. Bar tables all full so seated in overflow restaurant which began to fill up during our lunch. Great pies and outstanding chunky chips. Huge lamb shank and great onion gravy. No dessert necessary. Doggy bag produced when required. Must call again, and again!

Beautiful country pub in the most idyllic village. Had afternoon tea, evening meal and breakfast and couldn't fault any of it. Stayed in a four poster room with roll top bath and can't wait to return.
