Don't be fooled by the Elizabethan exterior- the hotel was built in the early 1900s. The interior is retro and no doubt furnished at considerable expense. It exudes character and charm which you don't get in the typical modern hotel chain venue. We stayed four nights in the Horizon suite which comprised a lounge, bedroom and bathroom. It was comfortable...

From the very minute we stepped into the Sea Marge we knew it was going to be a lovely stay. We were welcomed, and shown around the hotel ( something that is very rarely done )..a great start. The hotel stands in a super position, with the most loveliest of views and gardens. Our room was huge, with an equally...

The hotel is falling apart, due to lack of maintenance from the owners, we stayed in the lookout suite, the plumbing was abysmal, shower not working, jacuzzi in the bath deposited a very worrying curious substance, which was deposited on everything. The housekeeping, very poor, lack of vacuuming, and the failure to replenish tea, coffee etc. We stayed in the...

A beautiful building and they offer a real glimpse of days gone by. The genteel seaside with attentive and very pleasant, well-dressed staff, serving lovely food in clean and well-furnished spaces. Well worth a visit.

My partner and I stayed on May 6th for our anniversary. The building is absolutely stunning, draped with history. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic, couldn't fault it. Unfortunately we were more than disappointed when we got to our room, my partner paid a significant amount for the room, which boasted that it was a...

We love Overstrand but had always passed the Sea Marge by, Staff were warm and welcoming, the venue clean and we felt oldy worldy & a bit dated, perfect...
