Absolutely fabulous setting and lovely afternoon tea to top it off. The food was fresh, plenty of it and they catered for Gluten free which was also delicious. We were made to feel very welcomed and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for a real treat then this is the place to go.

Perfect quiet leafy location away from trains and major roads. A short walk from Burley. Wild horses around and walking trails right from the front door. Room 28 although more than generous for our family of four + dog, needs a refresh on decor. Beds were comfortable. I did note that the walls seemed thin so if you had noisy...

We love this hotel and this was our 4th stay here! Our family of 2 adults, 2 children and one dog have stayed in a different room each time, all of varying degrees of decor and price. We absolutely love the location which is simply perfect with a great selection of walks straight from the hotel. The garden on a...

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights as part of as part of a Travelzoo deal, it is in a fantastic location with great grounds and plenty of room to sit outside for an evening drink. This cost £120 for 2 nights with a cooked breakfast each day and a 3 course dinner on the first night I am...

My family and I have been coming here for pre-Easter long weekends for a number of years, each time having a truly wonderful time. However, having just returned after a 2 year absence I see that some things have changed, and not for the better: - Less staff - noticed this at reception and in the dining hall (especially for...

We were staying nearby and nearly chose this hotel so thought we would check it out for dinner. Thank goodness we didnt stay. The dinner was enough to convince us that would have been a serious mistake. Nothing terrible individually but the experience was so average, so mediocre, so middle of the road that I was nearly screaming to get...

Booked a two night deal through Travelzoo, great value for money in a lovely part of the world. The staff work really hard and are really helpful. A three course evening meal was included for the first night as was breakfast on both mornings. Food is lovely and plenty of it. The hotel is lovely and set in beautiful gardens,...

Well, we decided to smile about it as we had bought a weekend deal for a treat. First of all, we were given the keys to the wrong room (young couple in the room) then we were given a room which was an attic room converted many years ago. The ceiling was low over the bed so had to be...

Seventh visit to The Moorhill, once again very happy with everything. Staff friendly and helpful. Fantastic location for walking, be sure to visit the Old Station Tea Rooms at Holmsley, a pleasant walk along the old railway track. Also, not too far a drive to the coast if you fancy a change of scenery. Plenty of places to eat and...

Our first stay here and won't be our last. We wanted to walk in the New Forest as we are walkers and nature lovers. When we arrived we asked for a first floor room as I like to have the window open at night. Annie was extremely accommodating and found us a lovely room for the 2 night stay. As...
