The manor is built of sculpted fir wood, on stone foundation. The roof is made of shingle, typical for buildings in Maramures. The stairs leading to the main entrance are made of stone; everything is in perfect harmony with the centuries old tradition and the wonderful places one can only encounter here in Maramures.

We had a 2 nights reservation. The place and also the view were very nice, the food was also very good (we ate here the best fish dish ever). We recommend this place even though it is a little bit hard to reach the location, it worth. The personnel was also very nice.

A place I have vizited twice and I am definitely going to return. The mansion is located in the mountains so the view is amazing, it's all quiet and fresh air, the hosts are personal and candid. The rooms are very clean and have nice views; comfy beds, good linen, warm. The breakfast is generous and delicious; you get to taste traditional foods. There is a gazebo and sauna on the premises, they serve very good trout, the dogs are so friendly and there is free parking. I highly reccommend it! NB: there are about 2km of offroad to get to the mansion, but is not bad. You can visit so many beautiful places in the surroundings: Breb, Barsana, Ieud, Sapanta, Sighet

we left a group of 10 families, with children with everything, to spend a few days in the middle of the snowy mountains. PAVEL, our host, strived to make our holiday enjoyable and he succeeded. selected dishes, horse-drawn booths, folk music and dancers all meant to enjoy the outing.I highly recommend

The place is situate up on a hill on a river valley. The road to the place is very nice but you must drive very carrefully because most of it only one car at the time can pass, the last part is without asphalt. The guest house is very authentical, the gate is traditional wood made, the base off the house is from stones from the river and the top, where the rooms are, is from woods. The roof is stuning, incredibile nice. The place have a very beautiful view. The rooms are clean and rustic arranged. The food is traditional, must of the product are from the area, like trout, you can fish the one you will eat if you want, the mushrooms are wild, (porcinii), the meat are from wild pigs. They have also the traditional very strong drink made by them from plums or apples, horinca! If you like to discover how the people live in Maramureș County in the past definitly this is the place.

Greetings from Romania, I would like to share my feedback about my experience in Conacul Drahneilor Romania, I booked two nights which suppose to be our honey moon me & my husband as We just get married this week. Unfortunately we didn't enjoy at all.. They called us when we was on the way to inform that we can't reach the afternoon , better to go somewhere to eat and relax as the roads are on construction, we reach at 10:30 PMdriving since morning, it was very dark and scary the mountain roads with no lights Plus when we arrive to the room, We were freezing the first night as they inform us the heather in the room will be open for 15 mins only, second day morning i was having flu and fever as it was 5 degrees during the night. We wanted to discover the place around and see the cascade, we was informed that again the road will be closed till 7 PM so we had to stay longer somewhere in restaurant. Second night we ask them while having dinner at 8:30 pm to open the heather as we were feeling very cold last night, we asked how much is the fish, they give us a price but they didn't inform that it is per 100 grams so we said we want a soup and 2 fish plate one for me and one for my husband, Plus one juice and one beer, at the end the bill which was 6 times more than the price informed by the waitress, we paid and went to sleep the heather wasn't ON and we had to wait more till they open it for the 15 minutes only. Breakfast the 14 th Sep morning we had tea eggs + bread, jam, cheese and some pork salami which we don't eat they told us we have to pay 50 Lei, while in first morning breakfast a lady confirmed to us and said it is included with the room , we've been in over 14 hotels and pension in Romania only, plus Dubai, Morocco, Denmark we never pay for breakfast, or else the staff will inform if it is not included, we asked to show us a bill or menu, they had nothing .. specially that we saw 3 couples leaving after breakfast without paying we refuse to pay as we felt it is up selling from their side and something unusual The washroom flush wasn't working, and we were waiting for long time to try to flush it, we even use shower water For an average of 100 Euros it wasn't what we expected, except the beautiful forest around and pure air nothing was good, staff rude and not smiling, they don't give you receipt for paying the room, no menu, no bill for food only verbally you have to pay whatever they ask for. We checked out at 8 am, they called at 4 pmto say that we don't pay the breakfast with a rude voice tone.. We explained politely that it is not our fault and the gentleman was keep calling us while we are driving, insulting us with bad words, to open a family bushes is good, however if you don't have the tools of management and the good customer service, to be careless it is an unsuccessful project For 16 hours driving 2 ways from Bucharest, it wasn't really up to our expectations, and I'm still sick having medicines Thank you Best Regards, Salima
