My husband and myself had a wonderful time staying here and Jayne & her husband could not have done more for us. They were so friendly and helpful. The room was amazing and the breakfast was everything & more. If we go back to Isle of Wight won't stay anywhere else.
A lovely place ran by Jayne that we stayed at during the Isle of Wight festival. Jayne was a great host with amazing breakfasts and a fantastic location for those wanting to get away from their normal hectic city life. Jayne was amazing with everything that we needed. The rooms were equipped with everything you need including a fridge. The beds are very very comfortable and Jayne made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. A great place to stay and would highly recommend to all!
We regularly stay with Jayne and Chris and wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else when visiting the Isle of Wight. Hermitage Court Farm offers 5 star accommodation and it is set in the most beautiful location imaginable. It’s a such a delight every morning to wake up to the sound of the birds and look out at the beautiful scenery. The wildlife this year was even better than normal because as well as the birds we were visited by a Little Owl, a hare, badgers, partridges and even saw a red squirrel. Upon arrival we were greeted like old friends by Jayne and Chris and had our usual treat of tea and cream cake, gorgeous as ever. I find calorie counting can be very difficult when staying with Jayne as after the cake there are biscuits in the room and in the mornings the breakfasts are superb, always cooked to perfection and we just have to try most of the things on the menu during our stay. My favourite this year was the porridge, oh my goodness, it was so delicious. Jayne is also really good at suggesting places people might like to visit and also which restaurants they may wish to try and will also book a table for you. She has a skill of finding out your interests and then suggests things accordingly which is very helpful. Another couple that were occupying one of the other rooms would say in the mornings where they were thinking of visiting and Jayne was able to confirm if they’d enjoy it or occasionally gently suggest an alternative, she was never wrong for them. Thank you Jayne and Chris, brilliant stay as usual. See you next time. x…
This has been our third visit to the wonderful Hermitage Court Farm B & B. Chris and Jayne are amazing hosts and provide first class accommodation, excellent breakfasts, very tasty cake on arrival and a supply of delicious cookies each day in the room. The location is stunning and we can’t wait to return.
An excellent weekend break staying in the Niton suite. Very spacious and comfortable accommodation with high quality and generous breakfasts and hosts who were welcoming and full of tips on local walks and pubs. Very rural location, bordering on the remote, but well located for exploring the southern part of the Island.
We stayed 3 nights in the Niton Suite at the Hermitage Court Farm for our first ever trip to the Isle of Wight. As others have noted, Chris & Jayne are indeed the perfect hosts, friendly, interesting, knowledgeable & happy to offer suggestions for sightseeing. We had good conversations with them. They also made the ferry reservations for us at a discounted price (and were kind enough to change the times for us!) The accommodation was to a high standard with comfortable bed & pillows. Lest you worry about water in a rural location, no need! Plenty of water & safe to drink. Afternoon tea was a treat on arrival and breakfast was all you could want & cooked to order. The location is totally private and quiet. It may be remote but everything is easily reached on the Isle of Wight so you are never far from a good pub! Lovely rural views in every direction. We found it easily with the directions Chris & Jayne sent to us. We loved everything about it and would stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to return to the island.…
Upon our arrival we were made very welcome by Chris and Jayne and offered afternoon tea and freshly made Victoria sponge. Before settling into our very comfortable accommodation we set off to explore the surrounding countryside covered in a profusion of bluebells and other wild flowers. The climb up the hill was testing but the views in all directions from the top were more than well worth the effort. Jayne had kindly arranged ferry transport to and from the island for our car which enabled us to visit many interesting parts from this central location.
Chris and Jane are perfect hosts. English breakfast fantastic and locally sourced. We got to see red squirrels and even badgers. We would highly recommend Hermitage Court Farm as a wonderful base to explore the rest of the island.
After a 3 year break of visiting other parts of the world we decided to return to the place my wife calls 'the most perfect place to be'. The tranquility of sitting outside on the lawn with a cup of tea, a slice of Jayne's Victoria sponge, listening to the birds sing with not a bit of any traffic or background noise is just heavenly. Lifes stresses just melt away. We normally have used the Niton Suite previously but decided for a change and have the Stenbury. The room was lovely as expected and the view just as good. Jayne and Chris are the most amazing hosts, friendly and professional as ever. Didn't spot the badgers this time, but the hares were making up for that with regular appearances along with the graceful buzzards overhead. Even spotted my first Linnet. The Island visit was our first out of school holiday time and there is a big difference in how calm the villages are and of course much less traffic.…
Hermitage Court Farm is a real gem of a rural B&B. Chris and Jayne make very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is superb and the views are beautiful. Jayne's hearty breakfast set you up for a great day exploring. We will be returning.
