We spent a lovely week in one of the Tan yr Eglwys cottages and Helen was a wonderful host. The cottage was in a good position - secluded, but not too far away from civilization! There are good views from the garden of the surrounding countryside and there are a number of footpaths nearby that we and the children used... More

We stayed at this lovely "home away from home" for a week in June. We were visiting relatives in Winchwen it was handy for travelling back and forth. From my first communication with the lovely Helen I knew we would be well looked after, she is a wealth of information and so easy to chat to, felt like I'd known... More

Stayed in one of these cottages for four nights in May while working in Pontardawe. Set in a lovely quiet location in stunning countryside, the cottage felt very homely (helped by the tea and cakes left out for us!). We were secretly quite glad when the weather turned cooler as we had an excuse to light the cosy wood-burning stove.... More

A lovely, homely cottage not far from Ponterdawe. Everything you could need and Helen is a fantastic host and source of local knowledge. Beautiful views and walking routes nearby. Highly recommended. We stayed in the smaller cottage Ty Bach Twt for 4 nights.

We stayed at the cottage for a little more than a week in late September 2015. First and foremost, Helen is just the best! Great communication before arrival and plenty of insight on things to do of our interest. She was happy to help as much (or in our case as little) as we wanted. We had the privacy and... More

A lovely homely cottage with lots of space and everything you could need. A nice location in the countryside but not far to get to the main roads so can visit neath, Swansea and Brecon. Beautiful beaches and wonderfall walks nearby.....even straight from the cottage. Helen was very helpful in recommending places to visit, whatever the weather.

We had the best time. We needed a family holiday for the three of us ( we have a 3 yr old boy). He loved all of the castles, Woods, waterfalls, beaches, nature and dinosaurs. Lots of hidden places and Helen couldn't be more welcoming. She was a mine of information and we felt we'd made a friend by the... More

We stayed in the smaller cottage for a week in May this year which we booked from the other South Wales in Australia so had no idea what to expect. What we found was a lovely cosy cottage with plenty of room and facilities for our party of 5 adults (Helen pushed 2 single beds together for our 2 last... More

Myself, my husband and our one year old little boy stayed in the smaller cottage for four nights, and all I can say is it wasn't long enough! The cottage itself is homely and has everything you could wish for. I especially enjoyed the homemade cake waiting for us. It has beautiful surroundings and older children would love being able... My family and my parents stayed in the larger cottage over Easter 2014. We were 3 generations under one roof and the cottage and surrounding area met all our needs. The accommodation is clean, welcoming, in a great location (far enough to feel away from everything but near enough to access all the amenities you could wish for) and had... More

Many thanks Lisa for your kind words - it is always good to hear what our guests value at the cottages. I am pleased that you have highlighted so many aspects that we also think contribute to a great holiday cottage. Regards to Dad, we enjoyed his tales of being an evacuee nearby, hope the stay brought back good memories... More
