Going there for more than 20 years. Always in the winter (less crowded) so we can fully enjoy the so-called wintertuin. Excellent kitchen (same kok as before). NEW OWNERS. Very friendly, they have lots of plans in order to renovate the rooms (larger rooms with more comfort).

Well guys thanks for a lovely couple of days we had a great time we had lovely rooms overlooking the river and had a lovely time watching the stork family in their nest across the river. We spent one night here after a week in Bruges on our way back to see. Sluis is a great little town with terrific shops, restaurants & many things to see. The Hotel is within 5 minutes of the heart of the action, so location is great. Unfortunately this advantage is offset by it's generally aged poorly maintained condition. There's...

I stayed here on a business trip. The man at reception, who I believe was the owner appeared a little offhand when I booked in. When I went to the stairs to go to my room there was a sour smell of drains, however my room though basic was clean if a little careworn. As I had been traveling all...

Stayed for a long weekend and found this hotel to be everything we needed. Great location, great breakfast, nice little bar for a beer while you read your paper and there is even a bus stop outside where you can get a bus to Brugge for 3 euros (hourly) Would happily stay again..........in fact we probably will.

Sluis is a picturesque little town near the Dutch border with Belgium and well worth a visit. The hotel is in an ideal location near the centre and has the advantage of on site free parking. Other positives are: cleanliness, a friendly and helpful proprietor, a good cold buffet breakfast, comfortable beds and very good value for money. Not so...

The room was very basic and a bit cramped with a musty smell. The bathroom cubicle was not very clean. Staff is friendly and breakfast was nice. Bring your earplugs. As so often ... you get what you pay for and this place is the cheapest hotel is Sluis. We'd stay there again but only for one night.

“Although this is a very old building it is very warm and welcoming for a few nights stay there is a sauna but we didnt get to use it so not sure how it is but other guests seemed to use it. there is no air con so can be warm but if curtains are kept closed during the day stays cool for the evening meals were well prepared and service was to the pace you set ie very quick if you wished or slow your choice and as good choice of drinks as well.”
