The plantation trails by Tata Coffee arranges for a platation guided tour in their jeeps on prior booking. The guide is too humble and knoledgeable about the coffee growing process and kept explaining us in detail at various points of the tour. Its a tour of about 45 mins that we thoroughly enjoyed and the trip ended by having to taste coffee at the resort amidst the coffee plantation. The only con I think is the cost per person is little on the higher side but its completely worth a visit.
One of the best lodging options in one of the best maintained coffee plantation. Takes out the stress of our daily routines and gives some precious moments of calm. The staff are super helpful and the food is great. All in all a great place
150 years old bungalows have been refurbished saving their hystorical touch. The bathroom are pretty modern styled (in some of them) but this is making the staying more comfortable. Here you can really feel you are in the middle of nothing and dream about the old times. Enjoy
Peace and Calm. That's the word I can describe this place with. Nice location, Good facilities, a bit expensive but thats fine for such a place. Nice and clean rooms. Camp Fire and BBQ was good enough to take out all stress of the day. The people who work for you there in the Bungalow like Chefs, attendants are well behaved and informative and helpful. The Jungle tour in their bus was something adventurous, the Guide names Anup helped us a lot throughout the stay and outdoor activities. Luckily the weather was good and it didnt rain. Overall Satisfied !!!
We stayed at this property for a day. Rooms are spacious and clean. View from the room is very beautiful. But food is very average. Breakfast doesn't have much options. Staff is courteous. There is nothing to go other then from room, since elephant danger sign is everywhere. Even jeep safari tour is not much interesting.
We were 14 people ( 8 adults and 6 kids) stayed in the guest house , the guest house is beautiful but you cannot leave the guest house , as they keep scaring you with the elephant cross. One thing that really stood out is as such the place is very expensive and in addition you need to pay for food and the food is not very cheap and its over the roof. in addition the food is not great , one thing you can clearly notice is that some kind of a scam going on which is non vegetarian items refill will never happen and if it does its always not to the full of the bowl. this was very disappointed to see that you are getting cheated in the name of Tata's , a brand that is so close to every INDIAN. Its high time they relalize this and make changes as dishonesty will not last very long.
Lovely colonial style bunglow. Well kept rooms, very spacious, comfortable and clean. Foodwise nothing great to write about. Very courteous and polite staff. Don't miss the bird watching session at the golf course.
We were welcomed into the heart of the coffee plan-ntation by the friendly and informative manager. We had an interesting tour of the coffee plantation, including other crops such as black pepper and cocoa. We were served a delicious meal in the dining room and sat on the veranda drinking coffee and watching the sun set. The bungalow was comfortable and the rooms were huge. It felt very strange being in such a British Bungalow in the heart of the Coorg hills in India. We cycled off from the Bungalow with our cycle guides (Kalypso Adventures) - it is a great stop over on a bike ride!
Plantation trails is a very nice accommodation. It is like you are staying in a circuit house, traditional rooms with wooden beds. You have a cook and based on your requirement can cook veg/non-veg customized for your taste buds. Outside area is very green. In the night, outside look is very scary like a ghost movie but is fun. There is one hour tea/coffee plantation tour in the open jeep in the morning which is very refreshing. Overall, a very nice property and looks like you are in nature's lap.
