Our stay here was nothing short of fantastic. We were helped by the weather, but this is a beautiful spot in any weather. The play barn was a big hit with the kids. So too were the zip wire and the rope swing by the river. There is also an area of grass which is mowed to allow kids to...

We have now stayed at three Featherdown farms and enjoyed the previous two stays. This stay however will be our last. The tent was within about 10 paces of the car park and right next to the play barn and the goat shed. The play barn had children screaming in from around 7.30 am and the barn had a fan...

Well equipped 'tent', lovely setting and great family owners. Despite a weekend of rain we had an amazing time - our eldest went milking at 5.30am, the younger ones enjoyed playing with the goats and collecting eggs.

We have just got back from a 4 night stay at Featherdown in Dolphinholme and had a fantastic time. The tent was spacious, clean, comfortable and contained everything we need. The farmer and his family were really helpful and accommodating and the family joined us on the pizza night which was lovely. The weather was not fantastic but with the...

Just returned from four night stay and had an excellent time. Our 3 and 5 yr olds loved it and now want a goat to look after. Loads to keep the kids occupied from playing in the barn to meeting the newborn goats. We got the hot tub with our tent, def worth the extra. Does make work on your...

Just got back from a three night stay and really enjoyed it all 16 of us! Our 8 grandchildren loved the place and made their own entertainment, collecting eggs, building fires and such. We rented the two frills tents with the hot tubs and they were fantastic!! We also had a no frills tent which was equally as good but...

Have just returned from one weeks stay. After reading previous negative reviews I must say that my experience could not have been more different. Firstly our tent was very clean. Our hot tub and shower equally as clean and a lot of fun to use even if it did take a long time to heat. My husband got a great...

Just returned from a week on Feather Down Farm, Dolphinholme and what a lovely week we have had. The tents are absolutely amazing and truly rustic and provide the perfect farm camping experience. They are clean, cosy and well equipped. Having read previous reviews, Yes, I agree there are flies, but it was hot, you are outdoors in the countryside,...

This was our first experience of 'glamping' but the tent was really dirty and absolutely full of flies. You could not leave your drink, toast, or any food unattended as flies were all over them. Worse still, after paying over 500 pounds for a three night stay the shop was charging for fly spray and tape. I looked at the...
