We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Never taught we will have a wonderful vacation after this pandemic. Our stay at Blue Mountain estate stay was fantastic. It is a well maintained cottage by friendly and passionate team with excellent food service. The location is superb and we look forward to visit the place again.
Our family stayed for 3 nights at the Sardar Bahadur Bungalow. Meena ma'am made a special exception for my dog. We enjoyed every moment whether it was the pleasant weather, the beautiful scenery, the bird calls, the greenery, the lovely conversations with Meena ma'am and Carri sir about the heritage, the delicious food cooked by Rohit, the thoughtful, sincere and top class service by Ashwin. We will visit again with our friends.
This place is managed by an intelligent, cool and well travelled old couple who'll make you remember your own parents if they are intelligent, cool and well travelled. Food is fantastic since aunty is herself quite the aficionado. We had a really nice spread for breakfast with fresh cut fruits, toast with eggs to order, soft idlis with a great chutney, sambar and more. Also, their pandi curry is one of best amongst the ones we tried while were in Coorg, the freshly dried pepper did add quite the kick to it. They grow their own pepper and coffee, so if you're there during the season, be sure to pick up some freshly dried pepper which has mellow fruity aromas that old pepper loses with time. We were housed in the heritage bungalow which has a nice quaint old timey feel that made me reminisce about days in my grandmother's place in Kerala. The bungalow had a nice view of the valley below, great for a morning coffee or a walk if you're so inclined.…
We (self, wife, son) stayed at Blue Mountain from Dec 29 - Jan 1. It was a wonderful experience with Aunty and Uncle running a really good show. They spend time with you at dinner and breakfast giving a real "home away from home" feeling. The really make you feel like part of their family. We stayed in the deluxe room (accomodates 3 person) and the rooms are clean, functional and comfortable. The staff is very attentive and really cares for all your needs. The cook (Rohith) and Ashwin also deserve a special mention for the tasty dishes and quick to response to our needs. The property is off the main road and you can walk around the village. Another good place to visit nearby is the Nalknad palace (special thanks to Uncle for suggesting the place). Altogether, a very wonderful experience to close out 2021. We highly recommend Blue Mountain to anyone planning for a visit to Coirg. We definitely will stay here when visiting Coorg in the future. …
