We visited the place on March 3, and stayed in the Gateway home stay accomodation for a day. It is comfortable , clean with all amenities home for a couple with a child or 3 adults. The ambiance and the surrounding lush green forest covered by a large area of coffee plantation is a sight worth seeing. A small pond opposite the Gate way attracts birds and other species including a variety of wilds. Added to this, visitors are attracted to the tasty , healthy and clean food catering to the needs of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian being cooked and served by the owner couple of the Gate way and the huge estate comprising coffee plantation and other forest produce. One can witness a prompt and a disciplined service by the couple to the guests which is hardly available even in high-end hotels at such a reasonable price!. Anybody , once visited and stayed in Gate way will get attached so much to the tasty food and excellent service of the management that they always think of staying in this Home alone. In short, the Home and the service and food offered alongwith the comfort s of staying is unique and unavailable in other hotels and resorts. VijayaVaradarajan, & Varadarajaan…
Extremely clean and big spacious rooms, fabulous food cooked and served with a lot of love by aunty herself. My first trip here was for 4 days in November and again went back for 9 days in December. Absolutely love it. Location is great, safari enthusiasts can walk just one minute to the forest office where safaris begin. Views from the room is mind blowing. Simply Heaven on Earth, I already went twice and will keep going again and again. My kids loved it and were refusing to return home, even after 9 days there!
We stayed for 2 nights in COVID-19 pandemic but the whole facility provided to us is really very hygienic safe and of top level. Starting from booking to leaving whole response is really very subtle. The location is surrounded by coffee estate and jungle. Even in front of their house there’s a small pond which has lots of fishes and one can sit near it and enjoy the nature. Giant squirrels, deers, and lots of variety of birds can be sighted from the stay only. One can even go on the adventurous trekking in their estate. The food made by aunty was really delicious and with lots of variety from starter to desert. Even for our journey she packed lunch for us. Both uncle and aunty are of kind and caring nature staying with them is like staying with family. They had some 4-5 dogs and 4 cute little pups with whom we played a lot and they are really well trained and never bark on strangers until someone crosses their limits. We would surely love to visit again. Thanks for your hospitality.…
My husband and I stayed here for one night. We honestly wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms are sparkling clean. The food is amazing! Its homemade and there was so much variety. After 10+ days of travelling, we were so happy to be served home cooked meals. Mr and Mrs Jayaprakash were such amazing hosts. We learnt so much about their culture and had the most amazing time chatting with them. The best part of this whole experience is the location. Its located 2 mins walk from the safari pick up point - its very close to the entrance of the forest. Absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We both cannot wait to go back to spend a little more time enjoying the food and the calmness of the forest.
We absolutely loved this homestay. It’s situated right inside the gate of the Nagarahole National Park so a very peaceful location with the sound of birds and monkeys in the morning. The hosts were really helpful in organising our safari, trip to the falls and onward travel and the food was absolutely delicious, including the homemade wine! The room was really clean and spacious and we loved the balcony overlooking the lake. Would definitely stay there again.
