i Reached at Resort at Night; it was spooky and completely dark as far as road Goes; but all 3 days i stayed there with my wife with no regret whatsoever with a beautiful experience; great ambiance; much low rates; not too many people for staff but they were good; i might stay there again....

I am feeling myself lucky that i did not went with the reviews... The place is not a hotel, so if you are expecting a coffee at midnight, you are fooling yourself.... the owners are already making a lot out of their vast coffee plantation, they did not initiated this home stay for money, one should understand that... what i got here, was more than any hospitality i have ever had at any hotel/resort... place is at wonderful location... a lot to explore... at least spare two days to explore the property itself and getting acquainted with the owners... go for the wooden cottage, i loved it... its an experience you cant buy by money... food was great... owners were very attentive and they were caring for us like the parents... I covered the distance between Agonda beach to this place and reached after 10:00pm, Mr. Satish was so worried for me and was constantly taking update of my well being... we had endless chats with her wife, she was such a caring lady... the ambiance might be spooky for some delicate people, better not come if you are going to ask for coffee in the midnight, but yes if you have even a smallest part of a traveler living inside you, i bet, you will be planning your next stay at this place during your first stay... like i did... p.s. my 3 and half year old son enjoyed the property more than anything...

I don't want to give 1 star also. Hope I would have read the reviews here first and planned the trip, but saw the reviews after coming back.... :-( Had a horrible experience with my family. I have been to lot of places and this is the worst homestay that I have visited. Worst hospitality. Both husband and wife (owners) behave like they are providing it for free. Very rude people, money minded people. Lady will behave like she has done great favour for us by preparing the food and all. Food quality was very bad, they charge for each and everything. Asked us to adjust the food which they provided. Too expensive homestay. The guy keeps on telling on the amount that he spent on starters and all, argued with us lot when we told that he charged us unnecessarily. If you want to take revenge on someone, send them to this place. They will have their holiday ruined for sure. Once you enter the homestay, nobody will be there to ask you. They will provide the food when they feel.

Only the location was good. We Experienced very bad hospitality. Owner of the home stay was very rude. They charged extra for each and everything. For small cup of milk they charged 20 rupees (that's not the milk, only hot water). My suggestion don't go to this home stay.

Home stay location was very good but hosts were stubborn. They charge for everything. Breakfast was terrible, not worth paying 95 bucks. Severed charred food for breakfast, and asked us to manage with that. But after denied served DOSA which was ok with limited chettini. Dinner was good. Please avoid this home stay.... Only liked is nature surrounding to this home stay.

I'm from America, and this is the truest review you will read for this place. First of all coorg people are really nice but not this couple. The food was leftovers from the night before. How can the family think that they can give us the same food that was served for dinner, for breakfast. Tje butter was rotten and smelling. Im a doctor and im not going to let my toddler get sick off of food. Another thing A dog was on the property and he broke a plate after we slept and we were charged 250 for it. When I asked the owner how that's my responsibility he said I don't care and don't make scene while paying. He also said there was no dog and i had to describe the dog to him. When I tried to ask him about the breakfast his wife shouted and told me eat whatever is served. I had my 5yr old with us, and he eats zero spice. I told them I need food for him that was non spicy, the wife who cooked the food didn't do anything for him and he slept eating bananas. I felt so bad. It's not like I'm staying for free, I payed for this, everything was charged for including water and coffee. If they could charge for air they would have. There were no towels, no soaps absolutely nothing. There are no activities and no contact with anyone you are on your own. Even if something horrible happened there's no one to call out for. being rude to your guests is unacceptable. I said what I had to about this place. I love India and all my trips have been great, I've stayed in expensive places and cheap inns too. This by far is the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel. I give it 0 stars and with the bottom of my heart hope no one has experience like this. I strongly suggest not going here. I love coorg but this couple are the worst kind of people I have come across. These people don't deserve to be called coorgis. Because coorg folks are the nicest people in the world.

This family is a joke. They are rude and unbelievably hostile. People like this should be banned from running homestay. This people served us the same food that they gave us for dinner the next day. They gave us stale food. The butter was nasty and the bread was stale. This wife and husband team are greedy to the core. They charged for everything and anything. If they could charge us for air they would've. They behave as if they're doing something for free. There are no activities, nothing. There's no one to even call out to if you got hurt also. Please just avoid it. They even made us stop drinking at 930 because the dinner vessels had to be brought back to the owners house. We were a family of 2 couples and toddler. Our toddler slept hungry thanks to this wonderful place and these wonderful hosts.

It was a very bad experience overall . the place is good, location is very good but the people running the show at this place doesn't know the meaning of Hospitality. If you are still interested please read below. Its rightly placed by google maps. Around 12 kms before medikeri town ( on the way from Bangalore to Medikeri ). Beware when u take a sharp left cut from main road, in the middle way you will loose the mobile signal but just follow the sign and the location can be reached easily. When we reached the Forest Flower, we were told by Care Taker to go to office which was like 300 to 400 meters away but the difficult terrain makes it difficult to reach there. I had booked for 2 people ( me and my wife) and our infant daughter, along was my brother ( couldn't book for him as there was no option to book for extra person but I was told by stayzilla that they can accommodate extra person with some charges ) . As soon as land lady checked my Identity, she asked my about the extra person and made me felt that as I was with a terrorist. She repeated multiple times that we didn't inform her before. After few minutes I had to raise my voice to tell her mam " I am not going to take it for free, i will pay whatever your charges are" . Then she told me that its going to be 900 Bucks per night for extra person :) . She kept exaggerating that they need to prepare a lot for extra person. She explained me couple of more things about here and there and keep repeating me not informing her in advance about extra person. By this time me and my wife were pissed off. Her husband talked to me on phone and told me that there is an Wild elephant in the estate and I should come to back here early in the night and have dinner here ( which is INR 225 for Veg and INR 275 for Non-Veg ). We told them that we will inform them about it. Now she asked us to go back to resort and room we found that there is already an extra bed placed there. we were wondering why so much fuss about extra person. Later on my wife asked for Tea from Care Taker, he completely denied that we don't provide tea at this time (11 AM ) . Room was decent and bathroom was just ok. In the evening, when we came back, my wife asked the Care Taker to provide tea and this time also he completely denied that we don't provide any tea. This time my wife scolded the care taker completely and they literally had a few bad words exchanged. Then this guy asked that it will be 15 Rs per tea. Then in some harsh tone i informed that guy that If I can pay 2k per night for this stupid thing I can pay 15 Rs as well for a bloody tea and we let the tea go. We were lucky that in the night there was no power cut and my daughter had sound sleep. Care taker provided us a emergency torch to use in the night in case of power cut. Next day was very usual and our expectation were set to be very low from the place now. We went for the breakfast, as usual it just simple bread, butter and jam with Water melon. Tea was good but overall breakfast experience nothing to talk about. Now the harsh reality of this place is that people with lot of money have started this place who are not aware of the word "Hospitality". The landlady have complete authority over this place. she doesn't allow care taker to do anything. All tea, lunch and dinners are prepared over land lady's place and brought to resort by care taker which makes it really difficult to serve guests. Definitely the surroundings of this place is very good but u will find more such places like this with less cost and most hospitality .

We visited the place a few months back, 2 adults, 2 seniors and 1 infant. It was supposed to be a homestay, but we were fooled, neither was it a home, nor did we complete our stay. Technically, it is to be called a resort, but make no mistake, this property is just not worth a stay in any category. We booked this place on phone with the owner, on direct recommendation of a family friend, which turned out to be extremely sour. Property is close to Madikeri, a few kilometres before entering the town, a few kilometres away from the main road. Signage is okay. A few rooms on the ground floor, a few above. All are in the midst of a coffee plantation. Rooms are untidy, bathrooms are useable. Food is bad, no taste, no choice, cold. The view from the rooms is coffee plants, but gets boring after a few minutes. Absolutely no activities to do. No nearby sightseeing spots. The owner's house is not far away while they seem very disinterested. A caretaker family is in the resort, who takes care of literally everything. The male carries luggage and food, the wife prepares food. They have no sense of service or hospitality whatsoever. Place is totally infant-unfriendly. Our baby was up whole night. Doors don't close fully. Windows are creaky. Roof was leaking. The night made the rooms a mini-zoo! Flies, insects had a jolly time. Turning on the lights invited even more creatures. We got the rooms dusted and mopped twice before checking in and yet were unhappy. Beds, mattresses, towels avoidable. Electricity not assured. Backup power not reliable. Shortage of charging points. No mobile networks, TV, internet. We managed to spend the night alive and were scared to death on the morning sight - a snake skin on the roof of the room! But not entirely surprising, finding so many animals like lizards and what not inside the room, the snake probably was looking for its meal. We wasted no time in checking out in the morning. Complaints to the caretaker fell on deaf ears. When we raised the voice, the owner finally decided to drop in and took us to task for complaining! His point was simple - they didn't attack or harm our ladies, or force us to choose to stay there. We shouldn't crib so much about a resort in the forest, and rather get used to nature! The less said the better about the food.
