It was a very nice and clean place. They have a big estate and the best thing is it is pet friendly. They have beautiful villa and food was also good. We have booked directly through the hotel and gotten a discount as well as some ainmane which is a coffee place with amazing coffee you can customize and see which is for you.

This was a long awaited vacation for our whole family, and Birchwood made it very very special. The full family very comfortably got accommodated in a 3 bhk villa which had two large living rooms and a dining cum kitchen along with three oversized bedrooms. The villa was perfect for us and the property was beautiful. Food service is a bit slow, but really good. Would highly recommend this for people traveling in groups or a family.

I'd rate this venue 11/10 if I could. Five of us friends were headed to Coorg and scouted for over a month to find a resort that was affordable, safe, well equipped and would work for us during a pandemic.
Birdchwood retreat is at Suntikoppa and is massive. It's two years old. The retreat is pet friendly. They were very available for all doubts and clarifications at the time of booking. As someone that is very uncomfortable with insects, I was a bit nervous about being in a resort in the middle of lush greenery. The individual villas are INCREDIBLY maintained. Every single feature is thought of and sanitized and clean. The villa is airy and easily accommodates 8 people. There was complimentary biscuits, tea, coffee, milk, maggi and access to an induction at the villa.
It is quiet and has a reading room, a gym, pool, club house and also does plantation tours on Sundays. Weekends have a bbq and weeknights have a bonfire.
The service and hospitality is unmatched. Whether in the food or the housekeeping, every single request was addressed promptly. The breakfast spread is vast and delicious. They were courteous and friendly. Our group would definitely strongly recommend Birchwood retreat for your stay. Can't wait to come back. Thank you for making our holiday so memorable.

Me and my wife stayed at Birchwood retreat on 1st Nov 2021. We can certainly say this resort is not how it was showed in the pics. Its rather small and not much to see or walk around. From the start till the end it wasn't a stay to remember. The guests were not received properly and left to find our own way to parking and to reception. No one was there to guide the guests or help with the luggage until you go to reception and ask for help. I did complain about this though I was told the staffs were new to the work. Our room was average, rather like a boutique hotel with no scenic view whatsoever. Television had only hand full of channels to see, which ever channel we change it says needs to be subscribed. Substandard level of running a so called luxury resort. We ordered lunch and dinner to our room. Food quality, taste and portions are good as long as you are paying for what you eat.We paid around 12k for a night stay in which only breakfast and a high tea and snacks was included as complimentary. Though the high tea provided was not at all orderly, we were waiting and the way the boys catered was pathetic. Either they forget to give the coffee/ tea or they give a luke warm tea. When we asked for the snacks, the person who was catering us nodded his head and moved away but no snacks were served even after waiting for a long time. We got pissed off and left the place. The breakfast buffet was average and very less items. Taste too was not so good. The worst part is their hospitality. None of the staffs working in that resort know what is customer service, no one is trained in hotel or hospitality management. No one greets you or give you a smile if you pass any of the staff in the corridors or while serving food but down right ignores you and doesnt even meet your eye even if you are standing somewhere looking for help or guidance and wont ask you if you need anything. While checking out no one asked if we enjoyed our stay, if the food is good etc.. No one even tries to get your feedback or recommendations but slaps you with the invoice and silently stands until you make the payment and get out. Doesnt even help you with your luggage until the car parking. The resort environment is so gloomy. They just want to run this business for the sake of running. Completely dissatisfied with the stay we had. Not at all worth the money spent. We dont recommend this resort to anyone looking for a great vacation experience. There are better resorts charging much less but with more trained and courteous staff who make you feel welcome and makes sure you had a pleasant stay.

we booked villa between 2nd to 4th May...a full villa with 3 bedrooms .. outside temperature was around 32 degress .. when we reached the villa , we ver told the a/c which are installed are not working ..place is neat and clean .. but room service is pathetic .. food ain’t that good either. pool is full of dry leaves which is not cleaned daily .. there is a fixed time for tea /coffee and they do not budge despite our request. we had to call multiple times for room service and finally they cleaned the villa around 7pm.. this is what we get when we pay 60k for 2 days.

Clean and spacious villas, beautiful location and super pet(and hooman)-friendly resort. Would highly recommend this place especially if you are visiting in a large group. We opted for an all inclusive package of breakfast, lunch and dinner which was a great idea since we didn't have to worry about going out of the facility during these Covid times.

A group of 12 us visited The Birchwood Retreat, we had taken up 2 villas. Since we were travelling on bikes we needed to make sure our bikes would be secure, we could park them right near the villas. The villas were well equipped with a semi functional kitchen, the stock it up with some biscuits, tea, coffee and Maggie😊. The view from all the villas is excellent. The staff there are also very helpful. Sumanth helped us with our travel around the area n suggested a couple of places to visit. A must that one has got to do when visiting this place is a walk to the plantation with Varun. All in all if I ever go back to Coorg i would definitely stay at The Birchwood Retreat.

I along with my wife and my pet reached this beautiful retreat.. in the evening on 11th June 2020…we were welcomed by Abhishek n his team at the reception.. We were allotted the room with poolside view.. the room was spacious, clean n with a huge balcony..we stayed for 4 nights.. The staff is very courteous and friendly with pets and humans.. there was always a smile on their faces which made us very comfortable n the whole place had lots of positivity… The food was out of the world.. their restaurant was spice route.. n very kool place to have breakfast lunch n dinner.. I do feel that they should add a few more items in breakfast like croissants… etc.. Among the staff special mention of Varun who showed us the coffee plantations was very courteous to all guests n Siddik who went out of his way to give us extra service n made our stay memorable… he was at our beck n call n even gave us some breakfast packed when we left for Mumbai by road.. Additional mention of the high tea that was provided in the evening.. a great place to meet other guests… Rest all was very good n a big thumbs up to this lovely place where I would love to come back when I visit Coorg next time..

This place is perfect if you are going as a big family. Each villa can accommodate 8 members. It's a pet friendly hotel so the 4 legged babies do have a wonderful time. We requested them to setup barbecue at our villa and we had a really good time since we had brought marinated food from home. The breakfast spread is good and the staff are friendly. The rooms are very neat and clean. These are non AC villas, but we never felt the need for AC.

Recently we stayed at this place for 03 nights. we selected a 03 bedroom Cottage at the middle of this coffee estate . Though it was raining through out, we were able to have our own family time since the villas were quite spacious . I was quite impressed with the interior and the way the resort has been maintained so far . We could see very little flaw which was not worth mentioning. They also got few indoor games to keep us occupied . But the best thing was the openness and how nicely the nature blends well in the Vills. It was open and yet private . Apt for 02 to 03 family with kids in 01 villa, have your inhouse party and also go for a nature's walk in the morning/ evening, connect with nature, sip a home made coffee
